Festivals are unique. They’ll provide you with some of the most exciting, inspiring and enthralling weekends of your life while also giving you a short sharp burst of outdoor living. When heading around the campsite, your eyes are treated to an explosion of colour and quirkiness that’s certain to live long in the memory.

Using our festival checklist, you’ll be able to get prepared for action and look your best from top to bottom, tent to stage.

THE BAG - First of all, you’ll need a bag that’s able to carry your camping essentials all in one place. The North Face is a big name when it comes to outdoor clothing and accessories and with the brand’s Base Camp holdall backpack, you’re equipped with a stylish option that’s built to last.

THE TENT - When you arrive, first thing’s first: it’s time to set up camp. Whether you choose to live amongst the hustle and bustle of the beaten track or fancy taking a step back and heading for the quieter patches, Easy Camp has you covered. Tipis have long established themselves as part of the festival scene, offering retro looks and supreme versatility.

THE TOPS - Bright clothing has always been a must-have at festivals, and it just so happens that the SS14 menswear trends, Print and Colour Blocking, agree, providing you with a broad colour palette that stretches from acid blue to zesty shades of yellow and orange. Our JOHN LEWIS & Co. shirt and Franklin & Marshall’s Palm Tree shirt use vibrant tones and bold prints to create eye-catching style around camp. Alternatively, for a more easy-going, laid-back vibe, opt for Selected Homme’s floral tee.

THE SHORTS - Summer festivals - whether it’s sunny or not - require shorts and these cargo shorts are a definite for practical reasons. Featuring several pockets for your wallet, phone, site map and other essentials, they’re also super versatile and will look great with just about anything you throw them together with. These denim shorts are cool and hardwearing.

THE WELLIES - A festival just wouldn’t be the same without wellies. Bright sunshine or thunderous downpours, these Hunter Original Wellington boots are more than worthy of a place in your luggage.

Converse All Star’s are also regulars to the festival scene and their Chuck Taylor design looks great, no matter what crazy combinations you choose to create.

THE ADDED EXTRAS - So that’s your tent and clothing sorted, and after all the dancing, singing (of sorts) and walking, it’s time for a well-earned meal before the evening session. First of all you’ll need Easy Camp’s Acrux Delux lantern so you can see what’s going on. Shining for up to 10 hours on a full charge, your temporary home will be lit up with its bright LED bulb.

Packing cutlery will take up valuable space in your luggage, so don’t bother. All you need is a handy corkscrew that you can attach to your keyring and a cheeky hip flask, and food you can buy once you’re there. This will also make room for sun cream and a

.

That’s it, you’re now fully prepared for a weekend of festival fun. All that’s left to do now is to get out there and enjoy it!
