Innovation in design and quality

We're accustomed to the technology moving faster than the blink of an eye in the television industry, but great TV design has been slower to evolve since flat panel took over from the fat- bottomed CRT sets some years ago.

Sony's HX8 masterpiece epitomises the spirit of endeavour to make the 'centrepiece' of the living room a true object of desire. We all want brilliant picture quality, and this LED TV won't disappoint. It has the ability to deliver deep blacks in stunning detail. Wi-Fi is also built in with a wealth of catch-up and on demand services, and the option of 3D entertainment, at your fingertips.

For me the really clever part of this TV is its crafted cradle speaker stand, that not only marginally tilts the screen for the optimum viewing angle, but also delivers an enhanced sound quality. Whilst the speaker stand can never claim to match the quality of sound of a sound bar or home cinema system, its presence is an acknowledgement by Sony that if you really want to get the best viewing experience out of your TV, then you need great sound.
