What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision Awards 2013 highlights
John Lewis and What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision have come together to bring you the best bits from the latest What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision Awards. Only the most outstanding pieces of tech have stood up to rigorous testing and earned a mention, so you can be sure that each one is a worthwhile investment
"A stunning screen that's lovely to use and at an equally lovely price. Pictures have excellent detail, deep blacks and punchy whites. A fantastic bargain."
"Excellent sound from a remarkably slim soundbar, at an affordable price. LG deserves plaudits for squeezing plenty of features into, and excellent sound out of, this remarkably thin soundbar."
Humax HDR-1000S (500GB)
"This is the Best Freesat recorder for picture and sound quality and has the convenience of a built-in hard drive for recording. It delivers a clean, detailed picture, great sound and is easy to use."
Each year the What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision review team rigorously tests the latest home entertainment products in its state-of-the-art testing facilities at Teddington Studios in London. Any product that has already received a coveted five-star review is automatically considered for an Award, and new products are submitted for entry from manufacturers around the globe.
All members of the What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision editorial team are involved in the judging process, with a series of Best Buy products being chosen in each category at a range of different prices, or in the case of TVs different screen sizes. One overall Product of the Year is then picked from those Best Buys in each category.
