Denim is a sartorial anchor in most wardrobes, and a versatile option throughout the year. This season feels even more denim-dominant with more and more everyday outfits featuring a denim twist. Summer provides the ideal backdrop to showcase your favourite separates as festivals, holidays and event-filled weekends take prominence.

Denim is the easiest colour to integrate into any ensemble and universally flattering. By nature, the fabric is robust, easy-to-care for and adaptable. Immerse yourself in this season’s on-trend jumpsuits, dresses and cropped shirts, or opt for classic shapes with shirt dresses, skinny jeans and
indigo shorts.

Denim’s appeal is its versatility, so layer shirts over floral maxi dresses for a lighter layer, or wear cosy leggings under denim shorts on chillier evenings.

Previous seasons have seen a hero colour, wash or cut take centre stage - however this summer sees a more varied style spectrum. Classic dark denim is an enduring favourite, though acid-washes and ripped detail can change up traditional pieces to give your wardrobe a contemporary feel. Whilst coloured denim is not the standout trend it was last summer, subtle pastel shades are an easy alternative to classic blue.

Jeans can also be a desk-to-dinner staple and even boyfriend jeans can be smartened up with a blazer and court shoe for a polished finish. Lastly, once a fashion faux pas, double-denim is now hugely chic – go for slightly different shades to nail the trend perfectly.
