Q & As

Jamie Oliver Cutting Tower by Philips 2.3 5 3 3
Matches the home cooker There's some odd review comments here. It stays put by the home cooker when in use, it doesn't miss the bowl, nothing ends up on the work surface, it's quick and effective. Maybe some people are filling the hopper and not pressing, or pressing too hard, I can't guess. I can make it work fine. The whole head assembly lifts off and washes easily, Not getting it is a bit of a waste of the home cooker, they go together and they're a great combination. 09 September 2014
messy I'm affraid I am quite disappointed with the tower as it does not cut whole veg, and the leftovers are quite big, already shredded veg vere coming out not into the home cooker but widely spread around it causing mess(eve if it was as close as possble to cooker ). on the positive note-easy to clean 04 January 2013
Not up to the job The Homecooker is great but I wouldn't waste your money on the cutting tower. It really isn't up to the job - too lightweight - it couldn't cope with 2 onions, 2 carrots and 2 sticks of celery without getting completely blocked up. The trouble seems to be that there is too much clearance between the bottom of the feeder tube and the actual cutting disk, whiich means you get lots of unprocessed food trapped between the cutting disk and the lid of the processor. Really frustrating. Also the cutting disk is 3/4 plastic, without any cutting ability, and 1/4 of the disk is where you insert your metal cutting tool of choice. This only gives you a really small cutting surface. The cutting tower is a great idea, but poorly executed. If I could return mine for a refund I would. 30 December 2012
