brilliant games compendium We bought this as a present for our children and are very pleased with the quality so we know it will last a long time. With there being snakes and ladders and tiddly winks my youngest can play games too - then will be able to progress to the other games as they get older. The children like it and so do we and I am sure it will give us a lot of fun over the years to come. 02 January 2013

Great quality product I bought the Games Compendium for my twin grand-daughters and their younger sister. The mix of games of skill with those of chance are ideal as the little one can to join in Snakes & Ladders and Tiddly Winks until she is old enough to play Draughts, Chess and the other games. The boards and pieces are so beautifully made I have no doubt it will last for years. The girls (and their parents) love it. A great choice. 29 December 2012

An unexpected result..... We gave our little girl the games compendium for her 8th birthday - she had expressed an interest in chess, thanks to Harry Potter. At first we thought the gift was going to be a dud, because she opened it, said very little, and set it aside. But that evening she asked us to show her how to play draughts, and we swiftly moved on to chess. When she doesn't want to think too much, we play snakes and ladders. She has been pestering us to play so often now that we nearly regret having giving it to her! Apart from the fact that it has restored our faith in the 'modern child' (it has to compete with the computer, the Nintendo DSi, and an MP3 player), this compendium is really well made and attractive and will last years. Superb value for the money! 29 February 2012

really good quality I bought this for my 5 year old son and have been very impressed with the quality, not only of the boards but also all the pieces for the games. The colourful snakes and ladders board is lovely. This is great for him now and will last for when he is older and ready to play the other games. I am so glad I paid that bit extra because I looked at other compendiums but the quality was not the same. Thank you very much, we look forward to years of fun. 04 January 2012
