Good quality - but scratched easily
I have bought several items from this range, and spent a Saturday afternoon assembling them. Assembly wasstraightforward - similar to IKEA.
The items all look good, but 2 niggles:
1) The desk surface scrathes easily as it is not very hard. I've coated it with Ronseal Diamond and that made a big difference without affecting the colour.
2) The cupboards and drawer units are just a bit shorter in height than the desks - by about 5mm. That makes the flow of the worksurface unattractive.
But overall - a good range.

Just what I wanted
Excellent product with good quality fixings (even a packet of spares, not that they were needed!) to be assembled from the carefully worded instructions, not just a set of silly pictures with more arrows than at Custer's last stand.. Only one tool needed, a pozidrive #2 screwdriver, and a little patience. Recommended!

Good quality office furniture
I'm very happy with this purchase. The desk was easy to build and is very sturdy and good quality. It looks great in my office at home and is just the right size without being too bulky.

Sturdy and practical
Very pleased with this desk. No problems putting it together, extremely sturdy when assembled and good quality overall. Colour is true to the website photos. Will probably be buying other items in the range.

Fantastic desk
Really pleased with this desk. The size is just right, big enough surface to be able to use effectively, good sized drawers and handy filing drawer. Looks very smart next to my other items of oak light oak furniture. Took an hour and a half to assemble but solid.

Looked very smart but beware!
I was thrilled with my new desk although it did most certainly take much much longer to construct than instructions specified! Won't tell you how much longer though, but finished result looks super in my new "computer room". However, on completion there were one or two disappointments which other prospective purchasers with computers, rather than laptops, should be aware of. On the desk I have my modem, tower, main speaker and two little ones, the telephone, and the screen. and there is plenty of room to spare. I purchased the keyboard extension for the keyboard which was extremely tricky to attach and I should have done it before the desk top was attached to the desk sides. Now my one big grouch that this desk would be absolutely ideal for a laptop because there are no holes in the back to run leads through. and I am finding it most annoying looking at a keyboard lead running over the top of the desk. Could the next batch be designed with a hole in the back panel please. Mouse lead is driving me mad too, most untidy. I have dropped some very heavy hints that I would like a battery operated mouse for Christmas. Not a toy one. Another rather sad disappointment which I have yet to mention to John Lewis is that one of the drawers on the opening grab indentation has a very dark knot in it and has been filled in which rather distracts from the look of the oak.. I also purchased the two door cabinet which was easy to assemble and holds grandchildren's stationery and the printer and shredder are placed on top.

A really nice desk
Four hands and time and patience were required to assemble the desk. The drawers can be placed left or right as required. The desk is sturdy and very pleasing to use. Plenty of room in the drawers, which open smoothly. Well worth the outlay.
