John Lewis Aluminium Corded Curtain Tracks
is there a worse curtain rail on the market?
This rail was damaged on delivery but only noticed after attempted installation! Instructions were inadequate even omitting reference to important components and including spelling errors- all very amateurish. Trying to fit in a part bay window was extremely painful and frustrating. Needless to say I will not be using John Lewis in the future for such products .

Good quality but a bit tricky to fit
Brought these for a bay window and was disappointed to find the 3.5m length purchased had two draw strings. But by joining the strings and a little bit of remodelling to the centre connecter converted it to a single draw string. Great value for the money as was thinking I needed to get a custom made track which would have been 10x the price.

Very Difficult To Install
I managed to get track up in a typical Edinburgh Bay Window - but I've put tracks up before. Have now given up after hours with the corded track - instructions need better diagrams. Took me ages to realise one parts was faulty a picture of each part would be useful.

a good value product
A good priced product but a tad tricky to assemble and mount for a beginner. Also the pull cord came unknotted after 4 days and resulted in having to take the whole thing down and rethread.Having now double knotted, I'm thrilled with my purchase!

Easy to put up and track looks good and operates smoothly and efficiently. Tensioners work well.
All in all good value purchase.

I bought 2 of these for 1930s curved bay windows. Extremely difficult to get the 2 pieces of track to fit together without a gap in the middle. In addition the corded track seems to operate by using each side to open/close each curtain. The tracks originally did not come with enough brackets, although this was quickly resolved by JL Customer Services who sent out the required number of brackets. This was an internet purchase and I had assumed by the product description that the track would be in one piece and would only require one side to open/close the curtains. An unsatisfactory curtain track for bay windows.

I understand the safety need for the cord tensioner but I feel it looks very cheap and I can not seem to find any other alternative
