John Lewis Anna Glider Crib, Natural 4.5 5 11 11
Quite Useful Bought this Crib alongside a Cot in March 2012 to use in place of a Moses basket. Kept the Crib in the sitting room and the Cot in our room. Baby lay in it in the living room till we were ready to go to bed. Quite easy to assembly with the manual provided and no issues like someone said about assembling it. My baby did not use it for long as she was a big baby and kept bumping into it so did not really like it. We are planning to use it for our 2nd baby that is due in a few months while my 1st remains in her Cot. Over all I think it is a good buy at least much better than buying a Moses basket 29 April 2013
Excellent We've used this crib for the last 4.5 months now and it's been excellent. Pretty easy to construct (not that I did it!) and the rocking motion is very smooth. She's outgrowing it and keeps whacking her hands on the bars and waking up, but I think this is a much better investment than a moses basket. 09 January 2013
Excellent Crib that will last for years! I originally bought my Anna crib in 2005 when I had my first daughter. It has since been used by 7 other babies within the family and friends including my second daughter, and is still going strong. The build quality is great - it’s sturdy, easy to put together, and the gliding motion is smooth so the baby never gets jolted like it can in the swing. The size is compact enough to have beside your bed, yet roomy enough for the baby to sleep comfortably till 3-5 months. The additional advantage is that it has a similar feel to a cot, making the transition to a full size cot/cot bed much easier than a Moses basket. Great product and well worth the investment! 07 January 2013
Excellent crib for sweet dreams! This item is excellent. It is made of very good quality material, it has a robust and smooth swing action and overall it was very easy to assemble. I did not experience any of the problems with the 'missing' holes reported by some here, but the late part of the assembly needed to be put together more precisely to make all the holes match. We are all very happy with this product, including the Baby who is sleeping wonderfully in it! 07 January 2013
Gorgeous crib I originally wanted this crib in white but it was sold out and purchased the natural. Glad I did as the natural is really nice and a lot lighter then in the picture. My previous children all had moses baskets and saw this crib and couldn't resist. It was really straight forward to put together and the gliding motion is perfect. I'm really glad I purchased this as it looks like it will last baby longer then a moses basket. 14 November 2012
Excellent gliding crib! LOVE this crib :) This was a great purchase and my son has been in this gliding crib in our room for just over 6 months now and he has been very happy in it... although he is getting big now and he will be moving into his own nursery soon in his big boy cot bed (also purchased from John Lewis)! We don't really use the glider but it is good to have as you might need it at the beginning for when your baby was first born. I remember we used it a few times when our son was first born... Me and my husband have had a look at the different cribs e.g. swinging as oppose to gliding but the gliding movement is definitely smoother and seems more comfortable for the baby. This is a really good quality crib, nice wood, very sturdy and easy to be assembled by my husband. We have a day time mosses basket downstairs and keep this crib upstairs in our room and our baby son definitely prefer to sleep in this crib than his day time mosses basket. If you are thinking of purchasing between a crib or a mosses basket - I would say definitely a crib as this will last your baby for at least 6 months old (well obviously depending on the size of your baby) and you are advised by the health professional to have your baby sleeping in the same room as you for the first 6 months anyway!! Good luck and enjoy your parenthood everyone :) 20 July 2012
Looks good & sturdy We bought this for our expected arrival. The crib looks good and the wood is of good quality. It was relatively easy for my husband to assemble, but as per previous reviews, some of the holes didn't align properly, so he had to manipulate things around a bit to fit the screws etc. As we have not used it yet, I can't comment further on the functionality, but overall it looks good and we can't wait to use it with our baby, which should be soon! 02 July 2012
Very good Great crib, perfect fit for small rooms. I rocked my baby to sleep in the first 2 months just by stretching my arm out of the bed. It is small though, bigger babies will need more room quite quickly (about 3 months old). Recommended. 01 July 2012
