John Lewis Aspen Bedsteads, Kingsize
Check the new supports
As a reviewer below says, this is not suitable for a wooden floor,,the central spar supports slip on the floor meaning the metal fixings bend and the weight goes entirely on the central spar.
This is made of poor quality wood and can't take the strain of two adults.
This morning our bed collapsed without warning, we have had it for 3 yrs but at this price I was hoping for a lot longer.
I see a comment from JL below the fittings have been changed but too late for us. I doubt very much there'll be any offer of compensation and we have the bedroom furniture to match so no option but to buy another!

Well made and designed bed
Looks good, fairly easy to assemble. Couple of points on the assembly - the one I received came without instructions for assembly (but I found them online), and I found I needed to drill pilot holes for the large number of screws securing the slat supports to the bed sides.

Good and classy looking bedframe
We've had the Aspen bedstead fr about a month, and are very happy with the product. It's solid and looks good. Delivery was on time, and assembly was straightforward. Need to be a bit careful with middle support legs when moving the bedframe. We were looking for a bed with storage space, which this one doesn't have. So four stars rather than five.

Sturdy but watch your toes
This is a sturdy bed - we have one in a holiday let and it still looks new after nearly 3 years. I have one huge regret - the way the legs flare (and you don't see this as the duvet obscures them) means we often catch our toes on them. I caught my little toe so badly on Monday I'm still hobbling. If I could return the bed I would, for this reason alone.

Do not buy if bedroom has a wooden floor
Beautiful bed, looks great. However within 1 week the bed had collapsed and needed legs in middle resecuring, within 3 weeks the whole thing had collapsed and central bar and a number of slats had splintered and snapped. All due to central legs not being stable on a wooden floor. I see another customer had same problem. Clearly a design fault and should be advised as such. Good service for refund etc but product not fit for purpose on a wooden / smooth floor.

Well made and good value
I bought this for the guest room and was very pleased with the quality. Took 40 minutes to put together (slightly different from the picture in as much that the slats are not on webbing anymore but slotted into end pieces which are then clicked into place which is much more secure)
Quite solid and well made.
