Go for the plastic one!
I bought this product to use it for traveling but it is not a good bath support,
The fabric slips from the back so the head can sink in the water, also, my baby moves a lot when I bath her so the support is not good at all!
Go for the plastic one, much better and safer!

Very disappointing
A friend recommended that I get one of these bath supports. I wish I hadn't wasted my money.
Firstly the instructions say fill bath with 5cm of water. If you do this the baby's heels and bottom only will be in the water. He will be so cold that it will be no fun whatsoever.
Secondly the towelling slips off the frame so that the baby's head can fall off the back. I have fixed this by attaching velcro strips to the ends of the cover with safety pins and hooking them around the bottom of the frame. It looks awful but at least it is safer.
Thirdly the towelling is so thin and stretchy that now the bottom part doesn't hold my baby in any more and he slips off the bottom of the support. I tried firming it up by stringing shoelaces across the top and the bottom supports but it isn't really doing the job so I have to hold him up by having my hand under his bottom all the time. Makes it completely pointless.
I am so disappointed with this product.

Lasted - just
I found this a great handsfree support until my baby was able to sit at 6months. The material has only just held out & it would be good to buy a replacement ready for future babies (JL - can you supply these? Can you also produce something stronger?). It was also a bit snug for the last month or so of use (across shoulders) but given how little space it takes up, I was happy with this product.

Bath support
I too am very disappointed in this bath sling, the fabric is very thin and slips down so sometimes my baby's head has then flopped over the end, I tried turning the fabric round so this couldn't happen but this then means that there is no support under her bum to stop her wriggling down! (very poor design) however I had one of these for my 1st which was far superior, (not sure iyou am allowed to mention the place on here but it has a friendly giraffe!) ,it had better fabric which covers the whole frame and it was made so it doesnt slip down. I will be going there to replace this one as I agree with some of the other comments, these are very good but only if you get a good quality one!

Design Doesn't Work for Us
The fabric is thin and sags and isn't secured to the frame so as baby moves in the bath the fabric slides down the frame and his head dips lower and lower into the water. For this reason we found the design of the product as it is sold poor, however the problem could be fixed by sewing a couple of snap closings under the end of the frame to keep the fabric cover securely in place.

The only bath accessory needed!
I had one of these for my first child and have just purchased another one for number 2. In my opinion this is the best accessory for baby bath time and all you need - much simpler and more baby friendly than the various other plastic supports and baby baths etc. The towelling is comfortable for even the littlest babies and it is easy to hang on the back of the bathroom door. Highly recommended.

Good Bath Support
I used the product with my 3 week old baby. It provided very good support and i would definitely recommend to others.

Much better than a baby bath
This is a great product. We've used it for our baby boy from birth inside our own bath. Being able to keep hands free to wash him is great and also means he is able to kick and enjoy the water without us worrying that he will slip from our hands. Easy to store and towelling centre is removable for washing. Spot on.
