I really love the slimline, contemporary design of this product, however it is totally impractical. The vertical post that the kitchen roll fits on to is too wide, preventing the kitchen roll from moving freely when pulled. Really frustrating when you need to rip a piece off quickly when cooking, you simply can't! Shall be returning to store.

Looks good and stands steady on work surface. The main centre bars are a little too widely spaced apart to allow the kitchen roll to turn freely when tearing off the paper sheet so you need to hold the top of the stand with your other hand. My old holder was shaped slightly just above the base to hold the roll slightly higher and turn more easily. I am a bit disappointed that such a simple product doesn't work as well as expected

The stem of the holder is too wide so whilst the roll fits on it doesn't twist round. To get a sheet of paper you either have to twist the holder yourself or manually loop the sheets around the holder.
Should have realised the price was too good to be true, can't take back as have taken tag off but will be buying a different product as this one is not practical.

Holds the kitchen roll well. Quite discreet on the worksurface (our worksurface is black). Would recommend.

Sturdy, functional, no-nonsense item. The stem holds the kitchen roll tightly so that the roll won't 'wobble'. The base matches the diameter of most rolls and so does not take up unnecessary space on the kitchen surface. Stem protrudes an inch above the roll so can be picked up and moved around easily. Infinitely more practical, and unobtrusive, than many clunky wooden, or chrome, variants.
