John Lewis Boys' Tailored School Trousers with Belt, Black
Very well made trousers, great fit according to my son. They wash up very nicely and iron up well. Like that they come with a belt too. Will be buying another pair. Recommend these!

Great Pair of Trousers
These are the only trousers that fit my son well, and last until he out grows them. I have bought this since he was in year seven and is now in year 10. They wash well and maintain their look. A hard wearing pair of trousers that I highly recommend.

Trousers that fit
It was so difficult finding school trousers for my tall thin son this year. Had previously used Marks, but their sizing seemed to change. These trousers fit nicely, look well styled and have washed well so far. A small point that I like is that the pockets are lined in dark material, so when he sits down and the pocket gapes, I don't see a messy flash of white material. I was pleased enough to go back and buy another pair.

Bought these for my son who is nearly 14 and 6ft they are a good fit, have a great zipped pocket which keeps his mobile safe which makes it good for him. They standard size was too long but happy to take up hems to get a fit he is happy with.
Have just ordered more pairs

These were good quality trousers but unfortunately had to be returned as the waist came up on the small side and there was no adjustable waist. I went up to size 13 for my slim/tall 11 year old but still had the same problem. I would have been delighted if they had an adjustable waist.

I bought these trousers just last week; not even made it to the first wash! My son has worn them twice. The back seam has come apart. They have skimped so much on the seams that the back seam has simply frayed apart. I've had all makes of school trousers for my sons over the years and never had a seam come apart or rip before. Totally unacceptable for school trousers charged at this price. Why not get rid of the cheap and tacky belt and improve the quality? They are going back to the store tomorrow. Don't waste your money!

I bought two pairs of these for my 13 year old son and both split at the seams below the fly within a couple of weeks. No sniggering please - it's not the quality I expect from John Lewis. They were a good deal more expensive than similiar ones from M&S which lasted all year. I didn't send them back because it was too much hassle and just stitched up the holes, but I won't be in a hurry to buy these again. Which is a pity, as they fit very well on my tall skinny son when so many others are too baggy. The fabric is good qualty but I find they do need an iron, even if whipped out of the dryer immediately. So all in all, a bit ' ho,hum'...

Really pleased with these trousers for my 13 year old son - great quality; maybe a bit more pricey than other stores but definitely worth it in terms of wear, fitting and looks.
