The sliding door Carson wardrobe is made from solid oak and oak veneers, finished with a ‘shadow line’ that gives it an attractive paneled effect. The three shelves are fixed and the hanging rails allow them to be repositioned to suit your requirements.

Not as much hanging space as you would expect! We purchased two of these wardrobes and other pieces from the range and we are very pleased with their appearance. However be warned, the "open view" picture on the website shows a shelf and lower hanging rail on the right hand side. Neither of our wardrobes actually came with the shelf but that was no loss because even with just the lower hanging rail in place there is insufficient space to allow clothes to hang unobstructed from either the top or bottom rail. Same applies on the left hand side where only trousers will hang unobstructed, shirts and jackets all "bunch up". The interior design of these wardrobes leaves a lot to be desired and at the price we would have expected better. It is worth looking at these wardrobes in a branch of John Lewis with this in mind before you before you buy them. Also, the website claim of delivery within three weeks is overly optimistic. It took us two weeks just to arrange delivery and a further three weeks for wardrobes to arrive. John Lewis Customer Services were very helpful but arrangements for delivery are handled by their supplier. 07 November 2011
