John Lewis Ceramic Ivory Table Knife

Product information

These pretty pieces sport ceramic handles in ivory white for an elegant, neutral look that will compliment any table setting.

Ceramic is a beautiful and delicate material, and as such extra care needs to be taken when using this cutlery to extend its life. We would recommend ensuring cutlery is stored carefully, and only hand washing the cutlery.

Croft Collection is beautiful and considered. Neutral in palette, tactile by nature, it evokes a relaxed feel you'll come home to forever.

Q & As

Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable handle A little pricey but attractive design and goes in the dishwasher. 05 April 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Quality Purchased a full set around 6 months ago, there is a clear design flaw with this cutlery. 3 knives have broken and each piece bends while being used due to the flimsy connection between the handle and blade/fork/spoon. Stay clear! 31 January 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointing We replaced our everyday cutlery with 12 sets of this cutlery - ie 48 items. Of these, 3 were either faulty (loose parts) or broken on arrival. Since then, a further two have broken at the point where the metal joins the ceramic handle. Our local branch has, so far, happily replaced the casualties. However, while we really like the appearance of the cutlery (hence 2 stars and not 1!) we're contemplating taking the lot back for a refund while still within 90 days of purchase. It's a pity about the lack of robustness. 26 January 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Knife too small Sadly the main course/table knife seemed too small for the set and felt like a butter or side knife. Very good price, good value. 20 January 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Aesthetically pleasing Have had this style for a while and decided to increase our set. Sadly, you do not sell desert knives, forks or spoons which would allow us to have a full place setting. They are very attractive, a pleasant change from the ubiquitous stainless steel sets. The knife having a slightly serrated edge enables cutting food e.g. tomatoes. They wash well in the dishwasher. A minor problem is the handles are slightly heavy and can fall off the plate if you do not take a little care. We have broken one but it hasn't stopped us buying more. I hope you don't discontinue the range soon. 22 September 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Ceramic ivory table knife These are lovely, but be careful you don't drop them! They are made of ceramic and break easily! 21 July 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by What's all the kerfuffle about? I loved its style and smooth handles and bought 3 of each piece – the knife, the spoon and the fork about seven weeks ago. So far there are no such problems as some of the reviewers described. 02 June 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by not as good as picture You get what you pay for with cutlery, and these knives are very inexpensive. The handle of one has broken after just six months, so I would not recommend. 21 August 2014
