A beautifully traditional button-backed, low level sofa, hand made in England and upholstered in antiqued chestnut leather - no two pieces will be exactly alike. It's super-size with a fully sprung interior for superior support below, and feather-filled seat cushions for that glorious "sinking" feeling, whilst the classic fixed back forms part of the frame. With hardwood legs, turned at the front.

Fantastic sofa The only thing not to like about this sofa is the initial investment! Delivered just before Christmas and we absolutely love it. It was a bit touch and go as to whether we would actually get it as it kept going out of stock, perhaps because it's too popular. I wish John Lewis would do more sofas with the fixed back! 06 January 2013

Good to look at, good to use We ordered this last winter at the height of the bad weather, when most firms were refusing to deliver to Orkney. John Lewis got it to us within a few days, and we had our super new sofa in time for Christmas. It looks lovely, is supremely comfortable, and is usually admired by our visitors. Unfortunately, our dogs have also taken a liking to it, so there are frequent disagreements about where they should be sitting. 07 July 2011
