John Lewis Connor Office Chair
Great Chair, Poor Finish
The first chair delivered appeared to be second hand on assembly with scratches on most of the paintwork, so I sent it back and a new one arrived today. The new one is in better condition but it still has scratches on the paintwork on the arms and base.
The build quality is good and for me comfort is fine but I'm really disappointed at the fact its scratched.

Very comfortable, but not good on carpet
Chair went together easily, and is very comfortable. However, castors do not run well on our carpet. Also box it was delivered in was absolutely filthy on the outside.

Just what the Doctor ordered!
I am so pleased with this chair. Using a traditional one my back ached whenever I sat at my desk. This is really comfortable and easy to adjust to your own needs.
Even though I am 'banned' by my husband to buy anything that needs putting together (as this is not his forte!) he managed this quite easily..... and liked it so much he is planning to get one for his office.

Very practical and stylish
I bought this for my home office and am very pleased with this chair. The height adjustment on the seat is excellent as it goes low enough for me to slide under my desk as well as going high enough for quite a tall person. The arm rest also extends up and down to very comfortable heights. The chair is very comfortable, study and even more stylish looking in real life. I would definitely recommend viewing it in store before buying as I did.

The weight and solid build of this product was a pleasant surprise. It's very heavy but the benefit that brings is a solid, comfortable, quality product.
Impressed - would recommend these.

Connor Office Chair
Bought this to replace a cheaper chair that I had used for 10+ years and spent a long time in JL's local outlet trying it out before purchase as I work from home and was concerned to ensure it was suitable.
It is a good quality product, but sadly the range of adjustment is minimal and I have either not built the chair correctly (it comes flat packed) or mine is faulty because I cannot adjust the rake of the backrest, not a problem that was present on the chair I tested.
OK for use of no more than an hour, after which the posture that it forces one to adopt introduces backache. If I had not already disposed of my old chair I would recycle it since although it was a bit tatty it was comfortable.
Hence the low rating as I now deeply regret making the purchase and am loathe to fork out more money for another chair – although inevitably that is what I will be forced to do!

Not a good choice
I bought this chair as the back support appeared to be good - which, up to a point, it is if you don't try and put the chair under a desk. Unfortunately, for anyone of any height, the chair is pretty hopeless, as the arms, even on minimum height setting, prevent it from getting close enough to the desk, thereby destroying the ergnomics of the seating position. The second problem is that the thigh support is inadequate for those with long legs. The third issue is that the back support pad wiggles around a bit, as there's nothing to hold it in place, so even the back support is disappointing. Finally, the chair is poorly made. On mine, the holes for the arm bolts in the seat base are misaligned, so that the seat base does not fit dead centre between the arms. The end effect is rather wierd, as it feels that you cannot sit quite centrally in the seat. Unless you are below average height, you may be best advised to avoid this product - I certainly wish that I had.
