John Lewis Contact Touch Task Lamp
Good product but be aware...
Product is well worth the money however IF you are unfortunate enough to break the glass shade (and it is easily done) then be prepared to throw the lamp away as John Lewis do not supply replacement shades, such a pity.

I agree with the other reviews about the shade falling off and no repair possible due to loss of ceramic screw thread. A replacement part would seem to be needed. I have 2 lamps & one has worked & stayed together perfectly & I am very pleased with it. Number two lamp started to collapse quite soon after purchase & I kept hoping that tightening it up would be the solution. unfortunately this was not the case & it has ultimately been abandoned. Lovely lamps but shame about the fault!

Excellent as a bed side lamp
Smart brass finish with a good reading light. Looks good in our guest room. We bought a spare bulb when we purchased the lamp - just in case we cannot find a replacement in the future.

Not very bright and falling apart...
Although this lamp looks attractive, the light is barely bright enough to read by.
Additionally, I have had it a few months and the little white shade is hanging on for dear life. Am going to have to fork out for a different lamp as it will not tighten/screw back on.

This is a great lamp. I bought it for my mother-in-law as she won't need to fiddle with switches to turn it on or off - just touch it anywhere. It is good looking and easy to adjust, again particularly if your fingers aren't as good as they once were. I was impressed that it came with a bulb.

:Better than expected
I ordered these to replace two rather jaded bedside lamps. They look very stylish and I love the contact touch feature. Highly recommended
