John Lewis Double Kitchen Timer
Classy looking product
It is so handy with double face and looks smart on our kitchen counter

It's very handy to see the two times counting down at the same time.
Also with the option to just time up when you want to know how long you've had something going.

Good timer with a lot of features
After reading earlier reviews I nearly didn't buy this product, however having used it for a while I'm very happy with it. My only real criticism is that the instructions could be clearer as it takes a while to figure out how it works.
This timer does beep loudly whenever you press any button. However when setting the alarm/time you can reduce the number of beeps by using the press & hold feature rather than pressing the button repeatedly. Also the timer stores two alarm settings, so you can adjust the saved settings, rather than starting again from zero. I like the fact that it has a minus as well as a plus button, so you can adjust the time settings down as well as up. I also like the fact that it has a wide base (no wobbly folding legs# so you can't easily knock it over. It doesn't come with batteries so you need to supply your own #2 x AA#.
In clock mode you see the current time in the left-hand #T1# window and a count-down timer in the right-hand #T2# window. Having set the timer#s# you can start/stop both timers simultaneously using the large button on the top, or interact with each timer individually using the T1/T2 button#s). Once the timer is running you can switch back to the clock display and the timer will continue to run. When the timer goes off it starts to count up, which can be useful if you want to know how much longer something has been cooking beyond the intended time. The alarm is easily loud enough to hear from a different room, and each of the two alarms has a different sound.

Max timer setting is 99 min!
Was bought this as a birthday present. Agree with previous comments re difficult to set up, but what is more annoying is max. time you can set on each timer is 99 mins and 30 secs. The timer measures in minutes and seconds - so great if you are cooking fine cuisine where every second counts, but as an everyday 'too busy' cook, hours and minutes would be far more useful. I'm currently cooking 2 different slow cook recipes so have to remember to keep resetting the timers which sort of defeats the object of a timer doesn't it?

This looked so good I disregarded the previous poor reviews. I thought It would be simple enough once you got used to it. I was 100% wrong! This is the most counterintuitive thing I have had to deal with in ages. We don't use it at all as a result. With all this feedback one would assume that they will shortly revamp it - meanwhile I would advise everyone to steer well clear.

Something this simple should not be so difficult to use!
Poor design, difficult to use, too many button presses to get timer to start, never managed to get the clear button to actually clear the time. Really wanted to like this product as i thought that having a twin timer would be really useful but as mentioned in other reviews the sequence of button pressing is just too complex and I just have better things to do with my time than to persevere with learning the sequences. Took the timer back and bought the Heston timer which does exactly what is is supposed to do without any stress and having to get the instructions out again and again and again.

Handy to have the two timers but the buzzer is far too loud (and makes too many beeps as you set the times).

Really Useful Product!
Great little double kitchen timer. The controls take a bit of getting used to, but as it is a double timer plus a clock, it packs a lot in for such a small item. Overall, I am delighted with it!
