John Lewis Essence 4-8 Seater Extending Dining Table
Cannot assemble the legs to fit in. The colour on some of the chairs is darker. Spent 2 hours putting 3 legs. 4th one does not go in.
Not happy with the quality of the product.

Love this table
We are so pleased with this table. Our delivery men were brilliant and assembled it for us - so grateful as it was very heavy. Thank you

Good solid table
Very sturdy with a nice grain to the wood. The legs are in the right place for fitting people around the table (it's surprising how many tables of this size unextended are awkward for 6 because of the positioning of the legs) which was our main reason for purchase. Legs VERY fiddly to fit; they supply a useless spanner but replacing this with the correct ring spanner made life much easier. Table is heavy and needs two to turn over. I'm sure there are much better tables out there but not for anything like this price.

Good solid table
On delivery was very concerned - the legs have to be attached, and the table is VERY heavy. Plenty of space is needed, and two strong people, as it has to be turned over twice. The instructions were hard to find, hidden in a box - with a red ribbon to draw attention to it, but which had slipped under the packaging. The tool provided for attaching the legs was awkward to use.
Despite all this, the table is well worth the price, we are very pleased with the final product, it looks good with pleasing grain in the wood, the surface is hardwearing, and the table is very solid, no creaks or wobbles when heavy people lean on it.

Sub standard product
We have now had 2 of these tables. We found it impossible to screw the legs on the first one. John Lewis promptly replaced it. The second one took us 2 hours to screw 4 legs on with the inadequate screwdriver supplied. When we put it the right way up the legs had big gaps around the top where they didn't meet the table. John Lewis have arranged to have it collected. Needless to say we will not be asking for a third table.
