It is indeed a beautiful chandelier with a good price. However, the assembly of this product is almost impossible. Every 'crystal tear' (acrylic really) comes individually wrapped and expected to insert one by one in each tiny hole. I took us three people almost an hour doing it! Avoid if you are not very patient or do not have an excellent pair of eyes and hands!

I am about to return this product for the second time. The first light had several completely broken and unusable droplets, which I did not find out until I had spent over an hour attaching about half of the full set, although I did I notice that even those useable ones were often badly chipped and didn't hang quite straight. I was told by customer services that I would have to remove and repackage each droplet I had already attached in order to be able to exchange the product, which I then spent a considerable amount of time doing. After wasting yet more time exchanging the faulty light for a replacement, I discovered that the metal loop at the very top off the replacement light to which the chain is attached was snapped and unusable. It does not feel like it is made out of quality metal. I am extremely disappointed with this product and regret the hours I have wasted over it. It was not value for money or subject to tight quality control, which are two factors I have always previously found to be amongst John Lewis' main strengths. I will be seeking a full refund.

We bought this in store and no one mentioned the fact that you need to put each crystal on yourself which takes ages - and a few of ours were broken so have to wait for new ones. Other than that its a really nice light.

This is a fabulous looking chandelier, now that I have finished putting all the crystals on!. This has taken over 2 hours. Luckily no broken nails. The white base metal is poor quality and has some staining, although this will not be seen. I had to redo some of the holes to get the rings through. A lot of the crystals had to be attached to one another.
Why 3 stars?. The time to put crystals on, over all quality of the base metal. I would rather have paid more , and bought this already made up. I still have another one to do!

Looked for one like this for ages. Stunning in our bedroom, looks very delicate. Took about 45 mins to put together, but if you're organised it's ok.

The product info says that the drop is 53 to 73 cm, although when assembling I realised that it DOES NOT include the glass drops. I initially thought that I would have to send it back as it would have been too big for the intended room. To overcome the height issue, instead of reducing the chain to one ring, the entire chain section can actually be removed - it is simply screwed on at each end. To remove, un-thread the wire, twist off the end that attaches to the ceiling rose and the bottom end (looks like a bottle opener) from the central pole. The ceiling rose can then be placed directly on the centre pole and the nut that secured the chain section is conveniently compatible with the thread on the centre pole. This fiddle reduces the drop to 47cm (without glass drops) and has the additional benefit that the ugly white wire is completely hidden - perfect.

We spent months looking for a perfect pair of chandeliers and finally found this one - we should have guessed John Lewis would come up trumps! It sparkles beautifully without being glitzy and it looks expensive - the drops are glass not acrylic and the metal looks like silver rather than chrome. They took time to assemble but there are worse ways to spend an evening. They look perfect now they are up - classic and contemporary. We're really pleased with them.

Fiddly and time consuming to put together and you need good eyesight!
Haven't put it up yet as it doesn't look quite right in the room I intended it for but will look beautiful hanging above the stairs
