John Lewis Frost 8 Seater Dining Table
Had only seen the smaller table instore. The glass top is very solid but the frame appears to have a design fault as it is not sturdy enough to support the heavy glass and thus causes the table to shake when in use. We found any cutting action caused this but nothing can be done to prevent it!. Awaiting John Lewis to collect table as it has to be returned. On a positive note, their customer service is as always second to none and they are happy to uplift and refund. Thank you for that John Lewis

This is a good solid table for the price. It is heavy to lift around and takes two people to put together. It looks beautiful in the dining room - glossy and very classy. It would fit well in a modern home and works best in a room with lots of light to reflect the glass. Because it is made of glass it fits even in small rooms.

Nice table, thick safety glass. However, can be difficult to clean as clear glass.

Needs some skill to build
Interesting design, the strength of this table comes from the glass top. The side bars appear to be for decoration and don't fit that well. The bonded pads on the glass top are not all aligned with the drilled holes on the frame and with a little adjustment I managed to make them line up. Watch out for the holes in the hollow end frames they have reinforcing steel plates inserted to give the table it's strength, on the table we had one plate had moved so the holes were blocked but with a hammer and punch it was possible to slide it to align the holes.
Obviously the quality control at the manufacturers it pretty poor, if you don't mind a bit of work or returning substandard parts then the result is ok. It took about an hour to build with two people.

Great glass table
We were really impressed with this table; for the price it looks great! One word of warning, the glass top is very heavy and needs 2 reasonably fit people to lift it when you're putting it all together.

Poor construction quality
ordered table for new kitchen. Very heavy - definitely need two to build - even to move it. Poor quality - very surprising for the price. Holes drilled in wrong place. One drill hole mising. Not square or flush. Metal frame had lots of burn and drill marks. Had to dissemble and wait until jl collected it, which was awkward due to size and weight. Replacement was a bit better. Holes all correct so could build it. Looks nice from a distance and guests like it - but close inspection still shows some drill marks, frame not flush at joins, some coloured stress marks on steel etc. Ok but not the quality i would expect from john lewis. Kept it as couldn't find a better glass table elsewhere.
