John Lewis Fruits Peva Bibs, Pack of 2, Multi
Zero stars - seriously bad product
I bought these in Peter Jones as they seemed perfect to begin introducing solids to my 5 month old. I used the fruit design bib for the first time and my daughter chewed the bib. I noticed that the print had come off onto her face. Much to my horror I then realised that several of the "fruits" had entirely disappeared. She must have swallowed a fair amount. She doesn't appear to have had any side effects but I am very cross that john Lewis has the nerve to continue selling these, especially after reading the previous comments. I will be writing a complaint to Peter Jones. I expect much better from any store selling baby products.

i expected John Lewis to sell quality... i bought these in-store so i didn't read the reviews until after the fault appeared, but i can say i had EXACTLY the same result as the other people... the striped bib lost its colour almost immediately, on the third day of use. And no i hadnt soaked it in the sink - just a rinse and wipe. Ive put other bibs through the washing machine before and never had this problem, so its a very poor excuse! im cross because the size of these bibs is ideal for a toddler, but i will be returning them as soon as i can. Also, i will be asking the question why John Lewis haven't taken them off sale - letting me buy them when they knew they were faulty! its undermined my trust a bit to be honest....

Great size - poor quality
Initially very pleased with this purchase, exactly what I was looking for - a large bib, pleasing colourful designs and a wipeable surface.
However on the maiden voyage, after wiping some spilt food, the strips wiped off. Leaving a worn, well used, tatty looking bib. I felt very displeased. A manufacturing fault. The print was on the top of the bib and not underneath as expected.
The second bib, the fruit design, had been manufactured differently, the print was underneath and consequently not being constantly wiped. However this also developed a fault, the material began to look orange, taking on the colour of food.
These bibs failed to fulfil expectations. As a result I returned the used bibs to JL, reported the fault to the nursery advisors and was given a full refund.
Do not buy these bibs.

I should have looked at previous reviews before buying these. The print does come off very easily even though no harsh products were used to clean the bibs. Pieces of the resin colouring easily gets into food. This is absolutely unacceptable for a baby product.

Practical style but poorly produced
Entirely agree with previous reviews - there seems to be no improvement. When I used a baby wipe on the strawberry one the black print came off on my daughter's face and the wipe on the second use. Apart from anything else, I don't want my baby ingesting black ink! Surely this can be improved upon.

Look lovely to start with
I bought these for my 2 daughters to take with us on holiday. I thought they were a little pricey for what they were but reasoned that I don't mind paying a little more when you are paying for quality. Unfortunately I am very disappointed with the quality of these bibs. Within a matter of days on holiday it became apparent that the pattern was wiping off with the use of wet wipes. I expected a lot more from a John Lewis product. Very disappointed.
