Storm leather brogues Very disappointing. The overall quality of the finish was poor. The worst feature was the strip of leather between the sole and the upper which was uneven and ragged - not at all like the illustration. 11 March 2013

Classic design & well made. Brogues were conceived as stout walking shoes, and these are, to my mind, exactly what one thinks of when imagining a brogue. A classic design and well made. They are a very generous fit, so if you are between sizes, I suggest buying the smaller one. The colouring of the leather on mine were not as uniform as expected, but they have mellowed very pleasing after a few months wear and polishing. 23 February 2013

Great shoes Great pair of shoes, very good fit and comfortable to wear. I'm a size 8 and a wide fit - these shoes feel great on and cope well when worn with thick socks. Highly recommended ! 04 January 2013

Gloucester Storm Tan Brogues These shoes are exactly what I had been looking for and had been unable to find, others being a little too "delicate". These are tough looking shoes that look like they will last forever and go with both smartish clothes and jeans equally well. I initially had an issue in that the brogue pattern was uneven on the first pair I received, however 1 e-mail and a day later these were replaced with a perfect pair! So I have given 5 stars for the quality of the service as well as the shoes! 03 January 2013

Top Quality Shoe The best shoes, all hand made from quality materials. I love the detailed stitching around the sole and they are so comfortable. Mine have a great colour, they look fantastic with dark, skinny jeans. These should last me for ever, 22 December 2012

Not quite right The heel fit on these shoes is very loose, I ve never had a problem before with the fit of shoes being a slightly wide 9. They moved alot in the heel when walking and the colour was more orange than in the photograph so they looked like a bad fake tan. They did feel sturdy though and welts gave them that purposeful look being in the right proportion for the shoe. Had to return them unfortunately, but being John Lewis was hassle free and straight forward at the post office. 09 December 2012

Top quality shoes Great shoes that are well made and look fantanstic. These shoes should last for years if looked after properly. Shoes have quite a wide fitting and are roomy enough to wear with thick(ish) socks. 16 November 2011
