Ours has broken after a year. John Lewis have said they will replace.

wheel fell off and hook broke
I bought this lounger as it was a quality product from JL however, one of the hooks that elevates the bottom has fallen off and the wheel bolt has sheared off. I am contacting Kettler today but do not know if I can get a repair kit for the wheel, or how I am going to get the sheared bolt out! Enjoyed the product before this happened.

Sorry but wheels are useless
beautiful product but very expensive particularly with covers- would have been wonderful and got a great review if the wheels had not come off - not sure where or how to get spares and this is now very uncomfortable. argh

I am surprised to read that some of your customer's have had a problem with this Sun-lounger.
We purchased 3 of these at least 4 years ago and have had no problem at all with them, they stay outside from April until September and apart from obvious fading from the elements are otherwise like new.
They are used a lot when weather permits !,
Thanks for another good quality product John Lewis !!

I have bought two of these sun loungers - one in April and one in May. The first arrived with screws missing, the second had a problem with the wheel. SInce then the rivet holding the bar used to elevate the foot part of the lounger has sheared away. I have received excellent customer service from both John Lewis and the manufacturer; its just a shame that the quality of the product doesnt seem to be up to scratch. I dont mind paying a premium if the product is worth it - but I seriously doubt it will last 5 years !!! Apparently the last problem has already been identified as a design fault by the manufacturer.

Have now had 2 of these loungers and both have broken at the front when someone has sat down on the front. So would not recommend. If you just want to lat flat without raising the height for your legs - its OK.

not worth price paid
Whilst a good sunlounger, after exactly 5 years the wheel spindle sheared off - not much good without a wheel and would have expected a better life span from such an expensive product. Have returned to John Lewis but awaiting comment from the lounger manufacturer - now we will see what customer service they offer - our faith will be restored in the product if they accept this is an inherent fault as the spindle had not rusted and has never been subjected to abuse.

Had to return
My husband was really looking forward to relaxing in the garden in these sun loungers. They were expensive but we thought that they would be good quality. What a disappointment! The first one we unwrapped had the screws missing and the arms were scraped and rusty. The second one contained two right arms and also had rust and marks. It was annoying that we wasted time attempting to put them together only to have to take them back.
