Q & As

John Lewis Ingenious Microfibre Twist Mop 2.5 5 10 10
Absorbent and easy to use. Great product, easy to use and cleans the floors a treat. Would recommend this product. 28 August 2014
Not,easy to twist Have used supermarket equivalent in past and have to say they were much better, this, mop and head are very expensive for what they are , they do not twist properly and the head keeps popping off the pole. 29 July 2014
John lewis !! I thought better of you! Just to clarify ... I love John Lewis. John Lewis stuff makes me happy. So imagine my sadness at working out that this is possibly the worst mop EVER. It doesn't wring out without you giving it an extra squeeze by hand, the plastic bit on the bottom scratches the floor, the head takes a year to dry after use and to top it off The head sporadically falls off. I've had it 3 months and there is certainly no 'knack' to using it. Mopping the floor is a unpopular chore - this makes it even worse! 13 July 2014
Microfibre mop I have a large open plan living area that required a decent mop. This one has come up to scratch, easy to use and the mop head is machine washable and washes really well! 13 May 2014
Mrs The mop does not squeeze out the water and therefore does not remove as much water from the floor as a normal mop and bucket. A rivet also broke the first time I used the mop. I have returned the mop as unfit for purpose and have been given a refund. 24 April 2014
Just doesn't deliver It seems such a good idea and I was amazed the first time I dunked it in the bucket. However, the second time I squeezed the water down the head popped off. The fibres all got gathered up in the plastic inside, and i had to force the top back on. This meant that the head was now lopsided and to fully wring it I had to squeeze it with my hand as it simply did not twist. I tried to take it off and sort it out, but it always left a longer side. I have had it less than one month and have already replaced it with another brand. Very disappointing product. 30 May 2013
Instructions needed I found this mop very heavy and difficult to ring out.Not sure I am using correctly, as imagined it would be super efficient considering the price! Instructions definately needed. I am very dissapointed in this product. 30 April 2013
Instructions needed Seems to clean the floor really well, but very hard to wring dry. Seems quite cheaply made, as the head fell of after the third attempts at wringing out mop head. The plastic handle, that runs through to the tip of the mop head, makes cleaning the floor tricky, as the bulk of the map tends to fall to one side or another - leaving pole head exposed, which may scratch the floor. Essentially, a bit too complicated and cheaply made. 07 April 2013
