Product information

The John Lewis JLBIIH603 induction hob has four cooking zones, each with a 7-segment power display for extra control. The two front zones have boosters for even faster heating.

Ultra-efficient induction works by creating a magnetic field between the hob and steel or iron pan. The heat is instant; it is easily controlled and energy efficient. Surfaces are very easy to clean and the bevelled edge design means no dirt traps. With child proof lock for added peace of mind.

Whether you are planning a new kitchen or looking to purchase an appliance for your existing one, the John Lewis built-in range will help you achieve the desired effect.

Note: Only use pans suitable for induction hobs. These include: enamelled steel, iron, stainless steel (depending on the alloy) and some aluminium pans with a ferromagnetic base. Glass and copper bases are unsuitable.

The John Lewis name is always an assurance of reliable quality, great design and absolute value. Incorporating the latest engineering features and electronic systems, our appliances are thoughtfully and stylishly conceived to meet all the demands of the contemporary kitchen.

John Lewis JLBIIH603 Ceramic Induction Hob, Black 4.6 5 24 24
as good as the last one this was purchased to replace one that was damaged by a falling bottle. It has proved as efficient, easy to use and attractive as the last one (that had been much cherished). Timer facility for all 4 rings so helpful when cooking for a crowd of guests. 08 July 2014
Just what we required delivered and fitted quickly no fuss no confusion 100% First class service, also fitted very polite men. We will use again and again 17 June 2014
Excellent Value Had this Hob for a month now, and did have it installed professionally. It was necessary to removed part of the cupboard, as ventilation is required to allow the fans to cool the hob but I understand that this is necessary for most Induction Hobs. Only biggest and smallest ring have the boost function but have not had to use this as hob is so quick to boil anyway. Works like a gas hob in that it turns down the heat immediately and uses a fraction of the power of our old ceramic hob. If considering an induction hob this is good value for money especially with the long warranty 17 May 2014
Excellent product! Fantastic hob, easy to use and control. Very useful features such as timer and fast heat up. Very easy to keep clean and looks fab. Would highly recommend. 21 April 2014
Really impressed I love this hob. Impressed by the boost option, something. Never had this with an electric hob. Not had it long enough to know about lower costs but it does seem very efficient. Luckily I have only had to buy two new pans. I love all the functions including the timer. Yes ..... It goes off when you lift the pan but comes on again when you lower it. You can lock the controls - useful when wiping. 02 January 2014
This hob changed my life As there is no gas in our village I eventually got fed up with the clunkiness of our electric ceramic hob and bought this. Our stovetop kettle boils faster than our quick-boil electric kettle (and it's quieter). The responsiveness is quite amazing, better than gas if I cast my mind back. The old electric hob never produced enough heat for proper stir fries but the boost function on this is, ahem, smokin'. I also love the keep warm feature, especially for sauces. The only thing I could say against it is that it sometimes beeps at me when I wipe it down when I think it's off, but that could well be operator error. It is by far the best thing I have ever come across in a kitchen. I love it. 28 December 2013
Not great Great fan of induction jobs in general but very disappointed in this one. Overall I've had a very poor experience of John Lewis branded kitchen appliances, which I understand are made by Electrolux, so will stick to brands in future 24 August 2013
Love this hob After initial fitting problem (not JL) really love this hob, my first electric. It is as fast as gas and very easy to adjust temperature and quick to respond. Timer function very useful. So easy to keep clean, a great buy. 03 April 2013
