John Lewis JLFSEC612 Induction Hob Electric Cooker, Stainless Steel

Product information

Finished in contemporary stainless steel to complement your kitchen, the John Lewis JLFSEC612 induction hob electric cooker has plenty of features for the discerning culinary expert.

A 4 zone induction hob is an effortless form of heating for hob cooking. Induction heating gives near-instant heat (comparable to gas) and allows you to precisely control the temperature at which you cook. As only the area at the base of the pan is heated, it's also highly efficient.

The main multifunction oven offers a range of features and functions for the best possible cooking results. The top cavity features an electric dual circuit grill and conventional electric oven for added cooking flexibility.

An internal light illuminates the main oven interior so you can see clearly through the viewing window. With catalytic liners, the oven cavities in this JLFSEC612 cooker provide effortless maintenance, as the lining resists cooked on food and spills for supremely easy cleaning.

Thanks to a fully programmable timer your dinner can be ready for you when you come home from work - simply set the timer and the oven will come on and go off at the set times.

Please Note: Only use pans suitable for induction hobs. These include: enamelled steel, iron, stainless steel (depending on the alloy) and some aluminium pans with a ferromagnetic base. Glass and copper bases are unsuitable.

Q & As

John Lewis JLFSEC612 Induction Hob Electric Cooker, Stainless Steel 5 5 2 2
Excellent all round We upgraded our ceramic hob electric cooker just over a month ago with this induction hob and have been incredibly impressed by its speed and efficiency both on the hob and with the oven. As mentioned above we've not used all the functions as yet but with Christmas coming will be trying them out. the hob controls initially confused the family, especially the auto shut off function of you've not placed the pan on the hob quick enough. The safety features are excellent and overall I am very impressed. So impressed with the speed of bring water to the boil have now purchased a hob kettle, which should save us in time and power consumption. Back to enjoying cooking - well worth the cost. 15 December 2014
Excellent quality We bought this cooker about a month ago and have used it everyday since. Overall, it is excellent quality, the oven cooks very well, meats are moist and flavourful, and cakes have turned out light and fluffy. The hob is very reactive, and I am particularly impressed by stir fries compared to my old ceramic hob. Grilling with the door closed has taken some getting used to, but it works really well and bacon comes out really crispy if you want it! It has taken a little while to get used to the touch controls as some are not very obvious, eg the oven timer is set by pressing the back button. But now we are used to them it's no problem, and it's great not to have any handles to clean. There are still a few functions we haven't yet used, eg slow cooking and the drying function. Maybe we will use them more in the winter! 11 July 2014
