Contained within the stainless steel exterior of the JLMWGR005 is a 900W microwave, and a 1000W quartz grill for beautifully cooked food with the perfect finishing touches.

Featuring a unique Crispy Cook feature and four dedicated settings, you can easily enjoy perfectly cooked French fries, frozen pizza, fish fingers and chicken nuggets. There are also eight auto-cook programmes allowing you to cook a variety of everyday foods, including jacket potatoes, rice, vegetables, fish, meat and chicken. An LED display makes setting cooking programmes simple.

A choice of automatic defrost settings help you to defrost your food quickly and evenly, while reducing ‘hot spots’ in food. There is also a child safety lock, to prevent accidents and simultaneously ensure your food can cook without interruptions.

Missing delay Great product but miss having a delay timer and subsequent flexibility. 27 March 2013

Nice Little Unit (A niggle or two really don't matter) This unit is a nice size and a good price, the outer casing is covered in a near invisible plastic coating that should be removed - niggle one: this can only be completely removed by taking off the outer casing, no bother to me but not everyone will! Why should this be required, well if you don't then around the edges will be the tell tale signs of plastic sticking out. In use the appliance makes really even toast (so infra-red works well ie, the grill process), has easy to use controls eg, just hit the start button to get 30 seconds full power microwave - perfect for milk going in a coffee. It has an excellent range of power levels and is used every day. So what is niggle two: well back to the outer casing - this vibrates somewhat during cooking and the noise not so quiet. Overall for the money 4.5 out of 5 15 January 2013

microwave our Panosonic stopped working after 12 years. Looked at all the microwaves decided on the John Lewis with Grill Stainless ~Steel. Amazed by it. Easy to use. Instructions good. Would have liked some recipes but not to be daunted looked up my faithful \microwave book published in 1984. I cooked a syrup sponge and custard from it today when I had visitors. They were surprised that I could do a steamed pudding form scratch and custard on the table in 15 minutes. Everyone declared delicious. 05 January 2013

Pleased with purchase I was going to buy a Panasonic as it looked good online and had a positive write up in Which? But in store, the JL model looked better built and has a proper door handle. Once got used to, it cooks very well. Downsides are a poor manual and a power flex that is too short. 29 December 2012

Good quality product The review from Rickmansworth was so right. The instruction book did not have any diagrams and is so difficult to follow. I am now searching for an appropriate instruction publication for Microwave/Grills with recipes otherwise I am afraid I will not be able to do all the things I had planned and wish I had not thrown my 15 year old bog standard microwave away. Please someone in charge of this department - look at other manufacturers instruction books and get yours reprinted. Sorry to be so harsh as I am a big big fan of the Lewis brand. 21 October 2012

Impressed with this ovens performance and functions We had been looking to replace our old microwave, but wanted something relatively simple. This model by John Lewis has a grill as well, but the functions are straightforward and the results good. 16 July 2012
