The John Lewis JLWM1605 washing machine is A-rated for washing and spinning, with an impressive A+++ rating for energy for economical running. The 1600 rpm spin speed makes for quicker drying, while a large porthole and 180-degree opening ensure effortless loading and unloading.

The large 8kg load capacity saves time, energy and water, while a flow sensor calculates how much water is required for your load to provide the most thorough and efficient wash. And thanks to an inverter motor, the JLWM1605 washing machine provides quicker washing times and quieter operation.

There are 16 wash programmes including a hand wash programme, an intensive option, and a very quick 20 minute 3kg programme for when you need that outfit ready tonight!

Use the LCD display and push buttons to select the most useful programme combination, and easily view the time remaining and using delay start status. Aqua Control helps protect against potential leaks.

JLWB 1604 Purchased this model nearly 3 years ago and not surprised to see no longer available, the most noisiest machine i have ever owned. After 2 years the noise was unbearable so service engineer was called, i asked why so much noise and was told, oh well they do not make them as they used to, needless to say the machine is as noisy as ever, even after being fixed. My advice is to stick to an established manufacturer, prior to this machine i owned a Bosch for 10 years without a single problem and only changed due to house move. Avoid. 02 April 2013

Works well Delivered on time and with very helpful delivery drivers. Works well, quiet operation. Large door is great for loading bed linen and large towels. Like the countdown timer to end of wash cycle and the quick (20 min) wash is good. 16 December 2012

Solid Excellent solid machine, easy to maintain and the powder drawer removes easily, unlike some well known makes. we have purchased the extended warranty as our last machine, although well known, failed after only eighteen months, luckily we had the extended warranty for that too. and with the full refund we've purchased this. As this machine is John Lewis's there is only one number for warranty claims which is a huge benefit as it was a real problem to get things sorted with the last one what with first having to contact John Lewis and then being passed onto the (Branded) Repair engineers/service dept. Take my advice and stick with John Lewis's own brand machines and life will be simpler. 11 December 2012

It does the job! We purchased this machine because we had the ealier version previously and were happy with that. This new model has a larger drum capacity and is a lot quieter. Very happy with the purchase. When the delivery guys arrived they offered to unpack the machine and place it exactly where I needed it so it made installation very easy. 28 August 2012

I am pleased with my purchase. The machine is obviously well built; very solid, and heavy, but that means the m/c does not vibrate in the 1600 rpm spin. So, it is quiet. The electronic controls are easy to use. 18 July 2012
