John Lewis Kristy Touch Lamp, White
In the last 6 months I have had 6 of these lamps and each and every one has blown the bulb and then not worked afterwards. Customer service from JL has been fantastic, replacing them without question and finally refunding me when both had gone at the same time. Wish I had read the reviews here first. Such a shame as on the face of it really good value nice to look at lamps but just not reliable at all.

Bought two of these for my spare room. Are very useful for when the mother in law stays as she does not need to struggle with arthritic hands to turn on and off as just needs to touch the base. You can also have the light on three different settings.
May have been nice if could have chosen from a variety of colours

I bought two, one for each of my boys' rooms. The first one died a few weeks after I bought it and I'm pretty sure the boy in question didn't knock / kick etc it. The second one has just failed, about a year after I purchased it. I have now had similar experience with two others from a different shop so I won't be buying touch lamps again. While they did work, I had no problem using them, ie they responded well to touch and worked as you'd expect.

Love it - no fiddling for the switch. Sometimes have to tap it more than once if using one finger to turn it on. However love the different settings

Normally I can't fault john lewis products, but this lamp is diabolical. Have to wrap my hands round it to turn it on, the three different light settings don't work. It seems to have one setting only!
We will be returning it today. Very disappointed.

Quality lamp, nice design.
Only had the lamps for six weeks but no problems whatsoever. Different brightness settings not really used but a nice option.

In common with many other reviewers (should have read them first!) ours just didn't work. We had the right bulb but no amount of touching, pressing or holding the lamp made it switch on. And there are absolutely no instructions at all, which might have helped us to decide whether or not there was supposed to be an alternative way of turning it on or off. So back we go for a refund,

I was given this lamp new in january 13 . The lamp was not turning on despite touching on the right place and the touch was not good
One bulb went then another was fitted the second bulb went after two days.
Now the lamp does not work at all - i wonder whether it was a bad batch as there were others having the same problem around january
