Q & As

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by multi purpose I bought 3 basins to use for summer puddings, I wanted something I could put in the freezer with a lid so that I could put other food on top without squashing. Before I got round to making more than one pudding I has used a bowl for storing beetroot after cooking NO STAINES after use. I also keep lettuce from the garden in one, put a small plastic lid from the top of a cream/yoghurt carton in the bottom and drop of water and lettuce keeps fresh for days. Can't think how I managed without them and they stack easily in the cupboard. 12 August 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ideal ! Just what I was looking for. The review title says it all-------perfect for a small portion in the microwave 29 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by good size sturdy bowl I bought these to cook rice and veg in the microwave. The largest bowl (3.2l) is a perfect size for a standard microwave. Sturdy plastic. Good value. 08 March 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Bit pricey but quite good Lids could be a slightly tighter fit but otherwise these served their purpose well. I made two Christmas puddings, one was steamed in a saucepan with an inch of water, the other in a steamer but both worked out well. Be useful to be able to buy cheaper multipacks of these perhaps. 08 January 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Value Bought 2 of these on Saturday to make my first ever Christmas Puddings. They worked absolutely fine. I like that you can see through them, so that you can see how the pudding is going as it is cooking, and they take up minimal space in the pan, for steaming. Also I like having the lid, as it is good not to have to fuss around with tying parchment on the top etc. The puddings were both steamed for 6 hours each, with no problems whatsoever. The cooked puddings are looking delicious!! I consider that the pudding bowls are great value for the price. 26 November 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Totally useless for Christmas puddings The lids - although having a useful dimple to imply that they'll stack perfectly in the boiler - collapse when they get warm, and come off when you try and lift the bowl out of the pan. The pudding bowls like this that JL used to do were perfect. Please JL buying team - do some proper product research before changing your suppliers. 14 October 2012

Rated 1 out of 5 by pourous hi my wife bought these to steam her christmas pudding in and found that they leaked and it looks as if they are porous as the fat had come through the sides of the bowl. not happy 07 December 2011
