A piece of luxury I hesitated over the price of this mattress cover, but am so pleased I gave in. It is the most comfortable cover I have bought and will be changing the others on my guest beds. The feel is both luxurious and cosy and I even think I sleep better! Don't hesitate, buy it! 20 March 2013

Kingsize - does need a large drummed washing machine I have two of these mattress protectors and have had to admit defeat. In Kingsize they are really very bulky and i can only just squeeze one into my washing machine, which doesn't seem very optimal for actually getting it clean. I am ordering the slightly thinner versions simply for this reason. Otherwise, i have found them to be excellent. My washing machine has a normal size drum (7kg i think). With a large drum it would probably be fine. 06 February 2013

Just as good as reviews say I have an airbed for use by guests, and I wanted to make it more comfortable by putting a good mattress protector on it. While the price of this one made me hesitate, the more I shopped around the more I felt that it would make the airbed seem like a real bed. So I finally took a deep breath and bought it. I was really impressed with it and so was my first guest. I am now using it on my own bed and it has made it much more cosy and comfortable. It also doesn't slip around and bunch up like most other protectors. I am very glad I bought it. It's true: You get what you pay for. 11 December 2012

Jo I have bought these particular mattress protectors for everyone of my beds.They are definatley luxury,excellent quality and I have washed and washed them and they all still look like new. With this product you get what you pay for not cheap and certainly not inferior in my opinion. 27 November 2012

Shrinks after wash Bought a king size and double size. Washed at 95c as instructed, but thye both shrank and warped to such an extent that they leave 2-3inch gap from the mattress edge. Contacted John Lewis and was sent replacements. Washed these at 60c and they both shrank again, but this time they had brown rust-like spots all over them. Having read other reviews it would seem other have experienced the same issues too. They look and feel like a quality matress protector but they are quite simply no tfit for purpose. Avoid if you want a matress protector that covers right up to the edge of the bed (shrinkage is about 6inches which really is an unacceptable tolerance). 18 November 2012

Superior matress protector More expensive than I would have paid in the past but I read the reviews on line and thought it worth a try as most were positive and I have to say it is the best matress cover we have and relaly is luxurious so worth the extra dosh! 31 October 2012

A really good night's sleep Very comfortable indeed. Doesn't slip in use. Cool on hot nights. BUT be warned - don't try to wash anything other than a single yourself. This is the first time I've washed my kingsize only to find out it weighs a ton (or feels like it) when you bring it out of the washing machine. I wish I'd taken it to my local cleaner/launderette. I think the labelling should reflect this as it's only your website that recommends a large capacity washing machine - in my opinion this should be printed on the attached fabric label. I just hope I can get it dry and it doesn't shrink as some reviewers have said. 24 October 2012
