Rated 1 out of 5 by kro123 Very good looking but draw doesn't work
We received this cotbed when I was heavily pregnant and we put it together. We then realised that the draw's runners were half the length they needed to be, and as a result fell off the side supports. As such the draw was practically impossible to use. We phoned customer services and they offered to replace the cotbed, but having gone to the effort to assemble, and with a baby imminent, we couldn't face dismantling it and sending it back. We also couldn't see how a design flaw would be any different on a replacement. Since then we've been unable to use the additional storage. Definitely not worth the money.

Looks as good when you get it as it does on the picture, however there was some small bits of damage on it when we received it. Whilst these were not huge, just lots of small marks, it was disappointing but my daughter and son-in-law did not wish to return it. John Lewis were very supportive of the problem and resolved it to my satisfaction.

I bought this cot bed and took it back to Qatar with me on the plane. But from day 1 I have had problems with the draw. The insert that makes up the bottom didn't fit into the grooves properly and kept popping out every time the draw went in or out. Then the draw kept getting stuck and falling off the runners, now one of the runners has snapped. I only use this draw about once a week because I keep bedding in it. But I have no chance of getting anything fixed by John Lewis now I'm in Qatar, so I wish I'd never bought it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by GarethB Beautiful but check before construction
My parents purchased the Martha cot bed for their first grandchild and whilst it is a beautiful product please check all of the parts before constructing. The sides of the cot had been poorly joined at the factory and were completely out of square. Not sure how it got past quality control.
John Lewis' excellent customer service came into it's own and the problem was expertly resolved. If it hadn't been for the mishap at the factory the cotbed would have been given 5 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Willjo Very classy looking item
Good value compared to Next, Mothercare etc, as it came with drawer. I found you had to pay for this as an addition with others. Slightly darker than photo, but does look very classy. Drawer rolls easily & not hard to put together. Might be a hassle to alter height of base as baby grows, but would be same for other brands. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is hardness of the wood which may suffer from dents ....not likely early on, but certainly with a toddler later, bashing toys about :-) Still happy overall as its sturdiness isn't questionable.

Purchased this Sleigh Cotbed to cater for the different age groups of our grandchildren. I am stunned by it. Truly beautiful piece of furniture and my husband assembled it without too much trouble (although he is an engineer!)
I hope this will last us for many years.

strong durable cot, quite easy to put together. This is coming from a person who is normally useless at self assemble furniture. Baby loves and it is strong enough for my 4 year old to climb into the cot with baby and have a play!

we bought this cot for our 5 week old when she grew too long for Moses basket. It is a beautiful cot and she has slept soundly in it since the first time she went in there. The draws come in very handy for storing her bed linen etc.
My partner put it together single handedly in about 40-45 minutes and it feels very sturdy.
I would recommend this cot to anybody
