Great office chair Overall this is a very comfortable chair and well suited for both home and office environment. The only issue that I have with this chair is that the level for raising and lowering the seat just flops around loosely and hangs down rather than lying parallel to the seat and also it rattles. Whilst the level does the job intended the position itself can get quite annoying. I have taken the seat apart and tried to hold the lever in position while inserting the gas lift but as soon as I lifted the seat upright the lever hung down. Also I do agree with other reviewers comments that the chair should have been delivered fully assembled for the price charged. 02 May 2013

Comfortable This is a very comfortable and good looking chair. Delivery was prompt; I ordered the chair on Wednesday evening and it arrived early on Friday afternoon. Some reviews complain about loose arms, poor finish and problems with assembly. The arms do move a bit, but they are fully adjustable and provide a solid resting place. The finish of the chair is good. Assembly took slightly more than the twenty minutes indicated in the guide and one screw was reluctant to fit at first, but the task was accomplished fairly easily. 02 March 2013

Average at best For the price paid, I would expect it to come assembled. However, it does only take 10 - 15 minutes to assemble. It certainly is a nice looking chair. I would say it is more furniture than functional. For me, the height does not adjust low enough & the support is not as good as some other office chairs. The seat has become a bit saggy already and I have only had it for two weeks. To summarise, it is a nice looking chair, average support & comfort - over rated by others.. 31 January 2013

Don't buy it! I would like to give no stars but the webpage insists on a minimum of 1 star. On receipt of this chair and after puttng it together, I found that the seat back was lopsided - 2 cm higher on one side.On closer examination I found that the back cushion was not attached to the back on one side, with the innards exposed. Some stiitching on one arm was loose and potentially would come away after prolonged usage. I had decided to buy notwithstanding other reviews, on the basis that disatisfied customers were more likely to review than happy ones. I take the view that the manufacturers and John Lewis have insufficient quality control checks. My previous attempt to review has been rejected for publication - despite being acurate and polite - and I wait to see if Jl are afraid to publish this second attempt.This quality from JL is surprising. 23 January 2013

Outstanding This office chair is quite simply superb - I love it. I was initially put of purchasing the Morgan Office Chair because of the mixed reviews, however, I am glad I did. Speed of delivery and quality of the product (as is usual for John Lewis) was first class. The chair was assembled and sat on within 10 minutes (very easy to put together). Yes the arms may wobble a little if you purposely shake them, but why would you - its a chair? .... and I must say a very comfortable chair. If you want a good quality leather office chair to support you at your computer and like the look of this one do not be put off with the picky reviews, do what I did and just get it. 14 January 2013

Adequate but annoying A comfortable chair made infuriating by the fact that the two arms are loose and rattle as if they are not fixed properly (which they are, they still rattle and move around). If I could be bothered I would take it back, but I can't. I would absolutely not buy another one and cannot in my heart suggest that anyone else does, despite its other good features of looks and comfort. 09 January 2013

Pleasing office chair This chair is very easy to assemble. It is comfortable and looks smart in my office. The wobbly arms are a curiosity but you get used to them. I am pleased with the purchase and as usual the John Lewis delivery service was spot on. 17 November 2012
