John Lewis Morgan Office Chair
John Lewis Morgan Office Chair
Very nice looking, extremely comfortable, the leather is even warm after a few mins of use. Very quiet movement across the floor (rollers virtually silent), great comfort, thanks.

Happy with purchase
Didn't take us long to assemble - less than 10 mins.
Comfortable and looks good. Bought the tan one.
Pleased with purchase.

This is a really nice office chair, very comfortable and dead easy to assemble (took me and my 2.5 year old son about 10 minutes) but that's where the positives end.
The main issue is manufacturing quality. The stitching isn't straight or even and the leather on the arms is scrunched up. There are scuffs on the metalwork and the top of the backrest is dirty.
I would still recommend the chair as the one in store was perfect and that's all you can ask for

Morgan Office Chair
A really good office chair.
I don't understand some of the negative reviews.
OK it takes 30 minutes to put together……but you don't need an engineering degree and it's easier than IKEA furniture. John Lewis even supply the tool….an allen key!
The arm rests do have a bit of looseness when completed, but that is an advantage if you are moving around in the chair.
It looks good. It's comfortable to sit on and supports your back. You can pose in it. It swivels. It is well built. It's good value.
What else is there to say about it….it's a chair.

Good for purpose but poor build quality
This chair is very comfortable and suits its purpose admirably. However, it is let down by its poor build quality. As previously mentioned by others the arms appear to be insecure. The lever for adjusting seat height is equally strange as it appears to be loose and adrift of its operating mechanism although to be fair both the arms and the lever work OK. However, we had to have the first chair replaced because we discovered that the stitching had come apart in one area of the back rest as we assembled it. Upon delivery we noticed that the replacement chair had interior upholstery poking through in one area. We pushed it back and it seems OK but having critically examined the general stitching of the chair it is our opinion that it is not up to the usual John Lewis standard that we have come to expect. Incidentally, the arms in the on-line illustration of the black chair are back to front.

This is a very comfortable and impressive looking chair.
Heavy and substantial.
Well packed and instructions better than most.
Some leather "puckered" (this may be inevitable).
Hint. The loose arms can be sorted by buying two small rubber wedges usually used to chock sash windows. Put the chair on its back and force in to the space between the bracket and the arm.

Great office chair
Overall this is a very comfortable chair and well suited for both home and office environment. The only issue that I have with this chair is that the level for raising and lowering the seat just flops around loosely and hangs down rather than lying parallel to the seat and also it rattles. Whilst the level does the job intended the position itself can get quite annoying. I have taken the seat apart and tried to hold the lever in position while inserting the gas lift but as soon as I lifted the seat upright the lever hung down. Also I do agree with other reviewers comments that the chair should have been delivered fully assembled for the price charged.

This is a very comfortable and good looking chair. Delivery was prompt; I ordered the chair on Wednesday evening and it arrived early on Friday afternoon. Some reviews complain about loose arms, poor finish and problems with assembly. The arms do move a bit, but they are fully adjustable and provide a solid resting place. The finish of the chair is good. Assembly took slightly more than the twenty minutes indicated in the guide and one screw was reluctant to fit at first, but the task was accomplished fairly easily.
