Please note: This is a natural product, which will therefore always have a slight odour. This can be reduced by airing the product out for at least 48 hours prior to use. New products will have a stronger odour due to it being inside packaging for a period of time, but will gradually decrease over a few days.

This range of naturally filled duvets and pillows is now housed in Nomite marked casing: a first for the UK market. The tight weave of the cover fabric ensures no down or feathers can escape, whilst it provides an effective barrier against dust mites. This means that these ranges are suitable for house-dust-mite-allergy and asthma sufferers. Supported by scientific research, our market leading casing gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy the multiple benefits of natural fillings.

Q & As

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 21 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by just right I live in a flat that has underfloor storage heating so it cannot be regulated. This weight of duvet is just right for the temperature. the down snuggles around me and having tried synthetics I have come to the conclusion that the extra cost is well worth it 17 November 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointed.. Bought the same duvet about 5 years ago and it is wonderful so decided to buy one for our spare room to replace a cheaper one that rustles when moved and guess what, this one rustles too - which is annoying if you are a light sleeper. Its down to the cover that is now on it (Nomite??) which is hard and nothing like the lovely soft cover that was on our original one. So it went back but be warned, although you are not informed of this on the website when ordering, duvets are non-refundable for hygiene purposes - I returned in store and the Manager 'did me a favour' by refunding my money. I was also surprise to see the sample on display in store had the old soft cover on it so check the one in the box before purchase if you think the rustling will effect your sleep. 07 November 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sleeping like a dream. After looking for a decent goose down duvet online, I knew I would probably return to John Lewis to actually make my purchase. I had been too warm under my 10.5 tog JL special buy duvet for some time and took a gamble going for the 7 tog variation of this wonderful Luxury Hungarian Goose Down duvet. I'm so happy with my first night under this duvet last night that I felt inspired to write this review. I was worried that it may not have been warm enough, now that winter is approaching but it is perfect and I woke up feeling extremely comfortable and relaxed. Result:-) Thank you so much John Lewis for providing fabulous goods which we can count on and for the usual excellent customer service. 20 October 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Big disapointment Me and my wide was really excited about this purchase in June 2015, it was given to us as a wedding gift. We had bough luxury pillows too. The cover felt superb and the duvet felt luxurious. Over the past month the amount of leakage has been worse and worse. We normally have to sweep up or room daily and the amount of feathers creeping out is astonishing. I would have thought especially at this price the quality of this John Lewis product is high. I am not sure about if i can now return this 2 months in but i am deeply disappointment. 22 August 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warm and cosy! I wanted a warm quilt for cooler summer nights. It is as I expected. 04 August 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Goose down -which tog? Well, this was not an easy journey but now we think we have the perfect weight and warmth. The 7 tog duvet is very light and warm, hopefully year round. It suits both of us, even though we have different thermostats. This is the one for us! We do not like heating in the bedroom and live in a stone cottage - cold in winter, cool in summer, but wanted a cosy bed without overheating and being weighed down. The higher tog was too much. For the winter we have a very large but light quilted throw which might come in useful -we'll see.. 16 June 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great duvet Good quality and nice and light but at the same time keeping you at at nice temperature. We live in a modern building so 7 tog works well all year round. 09 June 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Goldilocks Duvet. Not too hot, not too cool, just right. This is the duvet I use most of the year round, the only exceptions are when it's very hot or freezing. I had the previous version of this for 10 years, but it lost it's oomph a bit, so I tried several cheaper duvets as we needed a super king. Total waste of money. I bit the bullet and bought this one again, BLISS. My husband feels the cold much more then me but it is fine for both of us, with none of those annoying cold spots when a gap appears in the filling. It's perfect. 02 June 2015
