Q & As

John Lewis Peony Bedding 4.3 5 25 25
Softest material but sadly fades We've had this duvet cover for nearly 4 years and it has become our favourite cover due to the soft cotton satin material and cool to touch feel. Being a hot sleeper, this fabric is ideal for a comfortable night's sleep. The problem is it is so soft that we don't want to use any other duvet covers when it comes to washing. Our bedroom isn't particularly sunny and we always wash on gentle settings but sadly the colour has faded loads. I would urge John Lewis to carry more cotton satin fabrics for duvet covers, I'm struggling to find an adequate replacement! 09 April 2014
great buy although I have not put this to use yet, it is a lovely cover with a luxurious feel to it. 15 January 2014
Peony bedding Love the colour but it creases too easily and needs a lot of ironing. I've had cotton before which was "easycare" and required no ironing so am disappointed with this new purchase. 31 December 2013
Colours faded rapidly despite gentle washing This bedding was just perfect for our newly decorated bedroom, and I was thrilled to track down exactly the right shade and design, and a lovely silky fabric, too. However, within months the bedding looked old and faded - you can barely see the peonies now - and yet I wash everything gently with Fairy Non-Bio. I wonder if anyone else has had this longer-term disappointment? 30 December 2013
John Lewis Peony Bedding Excellent product feels lovely and silky! Looks fantastic and price is so reasonable! 16 October 2013
Amazingly soft covers I don't usually review purchases, but for this I must! The cheapest of 3 recent bedding sets I have bought and this one is by far the best. Really silky feel and super soft after washing too. I'm buying another now... 31 July 2013
Lovely soft cover I have to confess to not washing this before I used it, couldn't wait! The creases didn't drop out but it is cotton, and I'd have been surprised if they had. I didn't find it creased anymore. It was SO comfortable, and cosy - love it. It has washed well and I would love to see more covers in this material and at this great price for 300 count cotton. 25 June 2013
Looked nice This set looked nice when first put on the bed, but it creases and looks as though it has not been ironed after one night. I don't think this material is suitable for a duvet cover. Doesn't look so silky after first wash. Rather disappointed with it, have bought cheaper ones from J L that are better quality and value. 25 November 2012
