John Lewis Sumptuous Pima Cotton Hemstitch Pillowcases, Grey

Product information

With a thread count of 430, these classic, crisp pillowcases are part of our finest and most luxurious collection of Pima cotton linen.

Featuring a subtle yet stylish hemstitch edge, they offer an elegant and minimalistic touch to any setting. Team with matching duvet covers to create a textured bed - a brightly coloured cushion can be added for a burst of brilliance.

Pima is made from a yarn which has been combed to remove the rougher, shorter staples to produce a long fine, luxuriously smooth thread, even finer than percale.

Q & As

John Lewis Sumptuous Pima Cotton Hemstitch Pillowcases 4.5 5 13 13
Good Quality Nice good quaity large pillowcases. They do need ironing so only dry to damp and use hot steam iron. Hard to get creases out if too dry. Nice, very smooth and cool to sleep. Think very hard wearing 27 May 2014
Very comfortable My daughter is delighted with this purchase. The partner at Croydon which helped my daughter choose this item was exemplary. Thank you, John Lewis 29 April 2014
Just do not iron well! I bought these pillow cases in October last year as the reviews were good and they seemed exactly what I wanted. Hoped they would get better with washing but they do not! I have a very powerful steam iron and it just can not get the creases out! Spoils the look of the bedding. I find this very annoying and am very disappointed. 04 June 2013
Fabulous Quality As ever John Lewis cottons are amazing quality and such a pleasure to sleep on 21 October 2012
A good night's sleep! If you want to ensure a good night's sleep, then I would recommend you buy these pillowcases. The texture of the material is fine and a real comfort during these recent hot nights. I've now bought some more myself! 28 July 2012
Lovely product! Bought these to match the kingsize duvet cover and found both to be crisp and fresh even on hot summer nights. The material is slightly stiff straight out of the packet but really lovely after a wash, though quite creased (if that sort of thing bothers you). It really is a great quality product for the price. Would, however, comment that the oxford pillowcase comes up quite big, so that unless you have big fluffy pillows you can be left with a bit of excess material. 16 June 2012
Head and shoulders above the rest I bought the full set of sheets, duvet and pillow cases in this range. Whilst it may seem quite pricey, the quality really does stand out. They are well worth the added expense as they will last for years and give you that really smooth feel for so much longer than lower thread count bedding. Wash before first use to give it a smoother feel. With each wash they get better and better. When drying, don't let it get too dry or it will be impossible to iron! 31 May 2012
excellent quality product Purchased together with bottom fitted sheet and top loose sheet to make a set. excellent quality, very fine and comforatble leading to a good nights sleep. 1 thing, though, they are rather rustly, line a plastic bag, and despite washing and conditioning only slightly better. Hope this improves with further washing 09 February 2012
