Q & As

Very comfortable. My daughter is delighted with this purchase. The partner at Croydon which helped my daughter choose this item was exemplary. Thank you, John Lewis 29 April 2014
Really bad product We could not believe the rigid and hugely creased up ball of duvet cover which emerged from our washing machine when we washed this for the first, second and even third times (per label instruction). Ironing didn't help. The only point in its favour was John Lewis' understanding and agreement to refund us. We did not pay sufficient attention to previous reviews, we will do next time........! We went back and bought the, inevitably more expensive, Genuisa instead. Absolutely love it, highly recommend! 17 March 2014
Impossible to iron! This product looked beautiful until I washed and ironed it. It is absolutely impossible to iron out any of the hundreds of creases. So disappointed John Lewis. Also every single button has split between the holes and come off. 16 October 2013
Love or hate It seems as though you either love or hate this range. - I absolutely love it! I never iron and as one reviewer mentioned the creases just fall away. I think it has the most luxurious feel and pair it with the JL feather duvet and you will struggle to get out of bed in the morning! 21 September 2013
Disappointing quality I had read previous reviews but choose to ignore them thinking I know John Lewis's standards are higher, unfortunately I feel very let down and agree with past comments. The sheets do not resemble the hotel quality described. They crease terribly and stains are impossible to remove. I've spent ages ironing and the creases are still very much there! 02 March 2013
Very soft and smooth Very pleased with this purchase. it does crease as mentioned by other reviewers. But as we bought the super king size we send it out to be laundered anyway. A more luxurious hand feel than another set we bought from another source. 08 January 2013
How many hours do you have to iron a duvet cover? I have just wasted over an hour ironing and it still looks very crumpled. The duvet cover was washed as instructed and hung it up straightaway. Unless you don't iron at all or you love to spend hours ironing, then it may be best to look at other duvet covers. I certainly would not recommend this to anyone! I'm also a little wary of buying other bedding now from John Lewis - this was a very expensive mistake! 19 May 2012
Extraordinary fabric When new, duvet cover was very hard and rather scratchy, we put up with that hoping that washing would soften it. However when washed (at 30 degrees) it came out of my machine like a concertina. Ironing at home? - almost impossible. Lovely ivory colour and no quibble refund were the good points. 17 March 2012
