Q & As

Rated 2 out of 5 by Does not with stand a hot oven I want to cook pizza at 300C and this pizza stone can't withstand high temperatures as we discovered when it broke in the oven. To be fair it had lasted quite a while, but, had we known this we wouldn't have used it. 05 April 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Broke in two I enjoyed using this pizza stone for the first few times but was extremely disappointed when it broke in to two pieces last weekend. Been used a maximum of ten times. 07 January 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Broke on first use - awful Having read a few reviews saying this had happened I decided to go for it as some of the reviews really rated it. It was a present for my partner but broke first time he used it. It wasn't in a fit state to 'return' so we have had to just throw it away and lump it. Very disappointed and I would not recommend. 06 January 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointing Unfortunately the first time we used this it split in two. Had followed instructions apart from flouring the stone because was using a bought base which seemed quite floury. Some liquid did drip from topping onto stone, not sure if this contributed to problem. The lovely man at the call centre is arranging a refund and trying to track down a Weber one instead. 05 January 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by A great value product. Living in a very rural area we bought our this product two years ago as our last hope of getting a decent pizza. It has not disappointed. Having quickly learned to use it to it's optimum advantage it has consistently produced high quality pizzas regularly enjoyed by ourselves and our friends. Clearly, it is important to follow the manufacturer's simple instructions and this does result in staining of the base but the high oven temperatures ensure that the stone remains hygienic and it is, after all, an excellent cooking utensil and not a piece of kitchen ornamentation. 05 October 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Unimpressed Used this stone twice, on the first attempt the pizza was not as good as when I baked it on a thick metal baking tray, I had followed the instructions on the box. So the second time I increased the temperature of the oven, the pizza came out was better and I was very happy with the Pitta breads that I made after the pizza but then I heard a pop from the oven and when I took the stone out it had actually split into two. I probably had the oven up too high and for too long for this stone, but as it did not make my home made pizza any better at the lower temperature it was basically a waste of money. Fortunately I had used vouchers gained from using the partnership card so at least I did not actually waste my own money. 13 September 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by pizza perfection This is just what we needed to get the perfect pizza....We use it on the barbeque which is a lot quicker and hotter than our oven. Just be careful not to get it on direct flame or it will crack..(we did with the first one...our fault as it did warn us.) 08 September 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice but staines very quickly This pizza/bread stone works really well. However, when baking pizza be sure to keep all toppings, especially oily toppings off the stone. It's staines really quickly and whilst I am sure this doesn't detract from the job of baking it's quite unsightly. 08 September 2015
