Poor quality Unfortunately, I have experienced problems with these pillowcases and also the matching duvet covers. they are a real pain to iron! If shopping in store, ask the person at the till point to get them out of the packaging to check they are cut correctly on the grain. If not, they will never iron well and drive you mad. the duvet cover is the same. They sort of twist and you can't iron them right. Not the first time, and will not buy again. 07 April 2013

Nice quality I bought two of the teal pillowcases and they are nice quality and wash well. They look like they will last for ages. Good price too. 02 April 2013

V-shaped pillow cases as expected... ... but what a shame they only come in two dull colours, clinical white and oyster. I particularly wanted something vibrant, but no luck. Maybe I'll pick one apart, make patterns and make my own?! 18 January 2013

Poor polycotton quality I bought a whole load of these in white (as part of a new bedding set) and am really disappointed with the quality. They are quite 'rough' to the touch and as a result every little bit of fluff / dust / hair sticks to them. I find myself having to use a lint roller every morning. I've never had this problem before; maybe it wouldn't be so bad if they weren't in white? I certainly wouldn't advise buying them and will be sticking to a good make like Sanderson next time which I've used previously. 10 January 2013

Good value for money I have purchased quite a few polycotton sheets and pillowcases over the last 30 years or so and these pillowcases are some of the best. Yes, you can buy cheaper ones but they will often have a lower thread count and a rougher surface. These ones are hardwearing yet smooth and wash well. If hung up straight away after laundering, I can get away without ironing them - always a bonus. I ordered Duck Egg Blue and the colour was exactly as I expected. I only wish there was a larger range of colours (I need Pale Pink also). It seems that John Lewis is forever revising their colours for this product and the matching sheets. 28 December 2012
