A modern, boxy sofa for a cool and contemporary look at a very affordable price.

The frame is a mixture of hard and soft woods and manmade boards, dowelled, screwed and stapled. It has polyester upholstery on foam and fibre cushions for a firm "sit", and solid beech feet with a dark wenge stain.

Great sofa We decided on this purchase after tesing it out in the shop and then ordering online. We wanted a plain colour with a modern style and also a design that will withstand a fair bit of wear and tear from two children. The colour we have chosen is olive green which is actually slightly paler than in the pictures, but very nice and goes well with our room. The seats are firm and comfortable. The delivery men were very helpful in unpacking it and putting the feet on. Overall very happy! 20 April 2013

Great looking sofa This sofa is a great modern style, love the red colour, very comfortable,was delivered within a week, only downside I can see at the moment (only had it a few weeks) is that it shows up the dust. 23 May 2012

Contemporary sofa at a comfortable price! Bought two medium size JL Portia Sofa's (in charcoal#, added a couple of bright JL scatter cushions, and hey, what a fabulous contemporary look at a comfortable price! These sofa's are nice and firm to sit on; no disappearing between the cushions here and easy to stand up from. At this price I doubt if anyone could find a better quality sofa. Delivery service from JL was spot on; all excess packaging was taken away #hopefully for recycling), and service with a smile as they say! 22 February 2012

Comfy sofa I ordered this sofa in olive with light legs. When it arrived it had the dark legs. John Lewis couldn't have been more helpful in getting the legs changed for me. Customer services was excellent. The sofa is a great colour and really comfy - looks great in the conservatory. The price was right too. 27 January 2012

Gorgeous! I love my new sofa! I was quite disappointed that when I got round to ordering a sofa for my flat, this was out of stock, however it was back in stock quite quickly and it was delivered to me only a week after I ordered it! The delivery was prompt and the men who delivered attached the feet for me and positioned the sofa where I wanted it. The colour is gorgeous, it's comfy and good quality for the price.
