Q & As

John Lewis Rachel Cotbed, White 4.5 5 31 31
Good, but would expect better from JL Overall the cot is good, however the components are not great - the bolts have dents in them and some are damaged. However, nothing that stops you from assembling it. The side of ours also has black specks of paint on it (the cot is white), so we may have to turn that side to face the wall. 11 November 2014
Really lovely We've been using this cot bed for a couple of months, so haven't converted it into a bed yet, but as a cot it's gorgeous. My husband and his mate put it together and it was easy, and feels like it's good quality. The mattress fits well and the white finish is lovely, perfect for a little one. We got the Rachel dresser as well and they look lovely together. 06 November 2014
Not built to last Was bought one of these as a gift when our grandson was born. He's now 2 1/2, and I've just looked at it in preparation to convert to a bed, only to find that one of the two main rails that run to bottom has begun to split lengthwise. Lucky the cot base hasn't dropped to the floor while he was in it. And this cot is only used when he visits us - not more than two nights a week on average. 20 October 2014
Lovely bed Really lovely and well made cotbed. Our little boy sleeps really well in it. Only complaint is that there is no bed rail when changing it to a toddler bed. 07 October 2014
Good product Easy to assemble, very decent and excellent value for money. The delivery service was excellent as well. 30 September 2014
Terrible quality The product is blemished in several areas and looks cheap. The finish is terrible. I've bought products from John Lewis previously, but nothing manufactured under their own brand name. I certainly won't be buying anything from the John Lewis brand in future, and will be returning the cot immediately! The fact that such a poor product passed John Lewis' quality control system is absolutely shocking. Very disappointed and quite angry, I'll be purchasing from recognised baby specialists in future! 17 September 2014
