Q & As

John Lewis Reed Bedding 4.3 5 20 20
Plain side shrinks I purchased 2 duvet covers about 18 months ago and love the colour and soft feel of the fabric. However, the plain backing does shrink over time, and one cover is worse than the other. I've only tumbled dried these a couple of times on low setting because they crease easily. They are better line dried but still difficult to iron because the backing fabric has shrunk. The covers must be steam ironed. 20 December 2014
John Lewis Reed Bedding Duck Egg I bought this bedding 5 years ago. It washes and irons like a dream and looks as good as new. I am still delighted with my purchase. 28 November 2014
Beautiful Really lovely, well made bed linen. I have just bought another identical set as it washes brililantly and I just love the colour. 19 November 2014
Great quality Beautiful colours and a luxurious feel to it - we love it! 18 June 2014
So far so good Have only just put this set on the bed but it looks lovely, will try to see if I can find the small cushion as shown in the picture. I haven't washed it yet, but as with all cotton would not tumble dry, just iron when line dried. 01 May 2014
Fabulous After reading some reviews, I was apprehensive. However once my duvet arrived I washed it, tumbled dried it ( on a delicate setting so it didn't over dry) ironed it- perfect!! Should be ironed slightly damp, like most cotton items, over dry and it can be tricky to get all creases out. Once on bed, looks fabulous and feels lovely!! Can't understand why this product has had poor reviews...!! Would recommend this product. 26 April 2014
Elegance and beauty Luxurious to touch, muted but elegant colours. Fab 20 March 2014
Only looked good when new Loved the colours, texture & pattern on this cover, but I now wish I'd never bought a cotton duvet cover set. We've only ever bought polycotton in the past, and now I remember why! My preferred method for laundering bedding is to wash it, tumble dry it, fold it up & put in the airing cupboard. I took a risk with this, as it looked so nice, and I thought it might wash OK, but it came out looking like a crumpled paper bag. Ironing a king size duvet cover, even with steam, is a nightmare, and it didn't look much better when I'd finished. Next time I'll try ironing it from damp, but I don't usually have time to wash & iron on the same day. I'll be going back to polycotton in future - I just don't see the appeal of something that is so difficult to maintain! 23 February 2014
