John Lewis Riley Office Chair
A little under a year!
I pretty disappointed with the quality of this purchase. My previous office chair lasted me 5 years. I bought this chair last year, and the plastic wheel has just broke! Now I feel uneven in my seat as I can not wheel my chair around and the seat bobs up and down.
Be warned, this chair is cheap and the wheels are very weak plastic compared to other office chair makes. I would not recommend this product.

Value for money (at the reduced price)
Nice comfortable chair. Has everything you could expect for a chair at this (reduced) price. One warning - really not suitable for large people. The seat length (ie from back to front) is about right for average or smaller posteriors and for people of average height.

Comfortable & good value for money
Easy to assemble, took my husband about 15/20 minutes. Very comfortable and seems sturdy. Ordered on Saturday, arrived Monday morning, brilliant! Looks good, really glad I ordered the Riley office chair.

Be prepared: The chair comes in lots of pieces so takes quite a while and a bit of brain power to put together.

comfortable and good value
I was looking for a office chair which offers firm back support as I have a very poor back. I wasn't planing to spend a ridiculous amount of money on those well-branded professional office chairs. So this chair turned out to be my first choice.
It's important for me to be able to adjust the back of the chair to the position that my back feels comfortable to lean on. This chair dose the job. The back of the chair can be raised and lowered. The angle of the back is also adjustable.
I'm really happy with this purchase.

So far so good
Purchased this chair whilst working from home during the Olympics. Was impressed with the very prompt delivery and the chair was easy to assemble. I bought this chair as I have a bad back and it was one of the few that had the ability not just to adjust the angle of the seat back but also the height of the seat back (and hence the lumbar support). I have found the chair to be comfortable so far - the seat and back are firm enough to provide support whilst still being comfortable. I'm mindful of the reviews that state the chair does not last very long. It is still OK for now after constant use for 2 weeks for 7+hours a day, although I would say the parts do seem a bit wobbly/loose when moving the chair around but it has been like this from day one. All in all though by far the cheapest chair I could find with seat height adjust so I guess my expectations shouldn't be too high (and frankly after my last chair I am just relieved to be sitting comfortably again). I will be treating it with care in the hopes it lasts me a long time!

Riley office chair - excellent
I was a bit worried about this one when I ordered it, as I was originally looking for a chair that came already self assembled.
The package duly arrived, and set about with some trepidation on the assembly. I needn't have worried - the instructions were crystal clear, with only a few parts to put together - even I could follow the diagrams.
Chair itself is well made, very comfortable, and of course completely adjustable to comply with the DSE Regulations (I work in Elf & Safety)

I bought three of them two years ago. One had to be exchanged immediately because the bag of parts was badly corroded. With the three I have now, one has two inaccessible bolt type lumps which protrude into your backside, on another the chair persistently sinks to its lowest position after you have set the height, and on the third the casing on the back is persistently popping off. I'm suprised that they are still available to purchase.
