John Lewis Roma Throw
Exactly what I was looking for. Beautiful rich colour and chenille like fabric a perfect compliment to my chaise longue.
Ordered online one day, collected from my local Waitrose the next. Perfect.

An excellent product
We bought a set of 2 small and 1 large Roma Throws in the Mulberry shade about 4 years ago. I have washed them in my washing machine several times and they are fine. They have not shrunk or lost any threads or anything else. I am always careful to wash the large one separately and the two smaller ones together at the recommended temperature and I usually line dry them outside. However I have dried them in my tumble dryer on the lowest heat setting and they are still fine. In fact we are so pleased with them that we bought a set in the Honey colour about 2 years ago and they are just as good. Both colours always look lovely and luxurious. A great buy. !

extra large throw
I was very pleased to be able to buy these extra large throws as the standard size does not fit corner units. They look and feel very good and I hope they keep their quality when I come to wash them!

Agree with Lucy.. Does not wash
I bought two throws. I machine washed and both have puckered with threads pulled. There were no other items in the washing machine so it was not a case of being snagged by anything else. Very disappointed. The care label states wash at 40.C but clearly this is wrong. Perhaps they should be Dry Clean only. I now have two unusable throws and feel very let down by the wrong washing instructions. Perhaps other reviewers have not yet washed theirs ?

Beautiful throw but doesnt machine wash
Throw is lovely and soft and thick but it doesnt machine wash. I've washed it twice according to instructions on 40 degrees, lowest spin. The first time a few threads snagged, leaving some holes and loose threads. The second time I washed it in a pillow case to protect it but unfortuntely it snagged even more. it now looks like a dog chewed it and i have to replace it. My search for a machine-washable, small-child-friendly throw continues.

I purchased 2 of these for our sofas as we have recently taken in a cat that now thinks it owns the house! They feel good, look good and are washable which is real bonus as I have the ecru ones to match our furniture and dry cleaning would be so expensive.

I bought this throw as I needed something to cover the sofa, "Although I am very much aware that the label does say not intended to be used to cover upholstery.
I am willing to take a chance and on my own head be it!!
The colour is pretty much the same as the one on line and I got the larger throw which is a good size.
I do think however that the throw is over priced, the frill on the ends will probably fray given time.
I do hope that I will not be disappointed with this expensive "for what it is" purchase.

We bought two Roma Mink throws to put on our new suite. It says on the the Cushions Beanbags and Throws page "Make a couch a comfort zone with blankets and throws", which is what we wanted to do.
When they arrived we notice it says on the label "This product is not intended to be used as a cover for upholstery". So what are they for then? In addition the washcare label says on the one hand that they can be machine washed at 40C on a Synthetics program, and it also says that they should be professionally dry cleaned. (A P in a circle with a bar underneath.) So which is it. The lady in the shop told customer services that they should only be dry cleaned. We are so nervous about using them now that we have arranged to return them. It took quite a bit of effort to go all the way to Southampton to look at them, then order them online and collect them from the local Waitrose, only now to have to consider returning them. Very disappointing.
