John Lewis Boys' Plain Short Sleeved School Shirt, White
Super even after a year of wear
I bought my 8 year old son 3 of these ready for September 2013, I am only buying 3 more as he's grown and they wont fit come September 2014.
They are still incredibly white, in good condition and shape. They do look rather creased before they're ironed but look great afterwards.
Would definitely recommend.

Boys Short Sleeved Cotton Shirt
I read the reviews for this product which almost deterred me from my purchase. My son wore this shirt yesterday in blistering heat and said it was comfortable. It was washed last night and hung out to dry. I was a little perturbed to see how crumpled it looked on the line but after removing it slightly damp and ironed straight away the shirt looks brand new again. It doesn't claim to be iron free so I think other reviews have been slightly harsh in respect to this item! I would buy again!

Good quality 100% cotton shirt
I ordered two 100% cotton shirts and think they are really good quality, compared to the batch I bought from another supplier during the summer holidays. The fabric is thicker and offers a smart look. It is true they crease easily, but as my son has eczema the non-iron polyester shirts are not an option for us.

I bought 5 of these shirts for my son to go up to "big" school. The quality is excellent re 100% cotton and well made BUT trying to iron them is an absolute nightmare! I tried to iron them whilst damp, spraying them with more water and other ironing facilitator products but all to no avail! In fact, I asked my son not to take his jumper off at school as they looked so bad! I contacted my local JL and was advised to take them in so they could have a look - the lady I spoke to immediately saw my difficulty and gave me a full refund! I then purchased the non-iron variety (which inevitably will need ironing as I don't have a tumble dryer!).

I have twin boys and bought 8 of these shirts thinking they would feel lovely and wash well etc.... They have been a challenge to say the least!!!They crease very easily and look scruffy before getting to school. The boys also said the buttons were too tough to do up and undo and I agree as I have tried. They do wash well but they do not iron well. Such a disappointment as I was very pleased to find 100% cotton as one of my sons has eczema.
I have had to abandon them and buy more shirts.

school shirts for kids with excema
Shirts are very comfortable, the main oject was to help prevent excema which clearly they are helping, my sons skin is now much better but unfortunatlry the shirts are very difficult to iron but worthwhile if my sons skin stays in good condition

I am so glad you are doing 100 per cent cotton shirts again. I bought some four years ago and they have been handed down the family and worn constantly, and are still in excellent condition. When you stopped doing them we tried other makes - none of which are now available - and they were either much thinner fabric which tore, or not such a good fit. Please don't stop stocking them!
