I have bought these for the past 5 years for my sons who are 8 years. So usually buy 6 pks (3 each) They are normally excellent quality and I feel quite proud when parents ask how do I keep them so white at the end of the school year. JL what is going on this year? My daughter has also started her first full week this Sept (so this year 9 pks) and this weekend I was taking out the bleach, bicarb and vanish and scrubbing for literally 2 hours to get 15 polo shirts back to white as they are the same colour as last year's shirts. I am a JL die hard though and this is the first yr with this problem. Looks like I will have to buy new ones again next yr though

Decent price and pretty hard wearing. Much better product than similar supermarket versions.

The shirts look good for school. I gave 4 stars as the price is good but I haven't tried it yet as my 4 year old starts in September. Hopefully will be good quality to merit a 5 star!

Disappointed with these shirts. The quality of the material is poor, very thin & transparent. They are shapeless and a bad fit, with the sleeves not even cut identically. I would have expected better quality from John Lewis. The polo shirts in m&s and Sainsbury's are far superior.

Just five weeks into term and one of the buttons has snapped in two. No spare button was attached to the seam / label, and as the buttons used are a cheap white plastic, they do not match with any of the usual spare shirt buttons I have. So I am now faced with replacing all 3 buttons to keep a matching set.
Fabric is thin, and shirts shrank with the first wash, though I did pre-empt that by purchasing a size bigger to start with.
John Lewis - please improve the quality of this item for future seasons!
