The light looks great - however the glass teardrops are very fragile.
One of them was broken, we went back to the store and we were promised for a replacement.
It still hasn't arrived and we had no feedback from the store despite sending them a message (using the online form).

This light looks amazing in our kitchen. It is correct that you need to be very careful putting the beads into the glass bulbs as they are delicate, but it is worth it. We got an electrician to fit it, it was possible to shorten any of the drops and he liked it so much he took pics for his wife!

This is a great light fitting. It has exceeded expectations and looks splendid in the stairwell of our new home. It was a two man job to fit. At one point my husband had to hold it in place with a brush while my brother-in-law fixed the ceiling mounting. However it was worth the effort and has been admired by all visitors.

I have had similar experiences to other reviewers with this ceiling light - the transformer didn't work in the first one and the replacement had a broken bulb. I gave up after that as I was never going to like something that had given me and my electrician so much grief.
Since there is a theme running through these reviews regarding faulty transformers and broken bulbs, it is pretty obvious that the usual John Lewis quality upon which one can normally rely is seriously lacking - whether in the design, manufacture or packaging and delivery of this item. This should really be addressed.
As for a previous reviewer, its size came as a surprise - the bulbs were much larger than they looked in the picture and even though we have 12 foot high ceilings, the drop was unaesthetically low. In the right setting it would indeed look stunning - above a spiral staircase, for example. The website would benefit from having a photograph showing it to scale against something, rather than just 'floating' in mid-air.
It was an expensive mistake to purchase this light - in terms of the electrician and my own wasted time.
It is a pity that the quality of this John Lewis product does not match the quality of their customer service team, who were ever helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Alan74 very attractive light
Looks beautiful when up and easier to assemble than you would think, have to be gentle with the globes but as long as you are careful all good. Perfect for a high ceiling room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Zigaroo1 This is dimmable
Wow, wow, wow!
We bought this despite other reviewers and JL saying it wasn't dimmable as we were going to get our good electrician to adapt it.
However it says on the box it is dimmable and cor how good does it look? Amazing and a real centre piece and looks great dimmed down low.
Our house is traditional but this doesn't look too modern despite it's style.
It's really easy to adjust the heights once you've fitted all the bulbs.
Take care putting the glass beads in the glass bulbs

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ev35 John Lewis Sebastian 7 light Drop Ceing Light.
When unpacked found one globe broken. However my decision to purchase this item was a mistake on my part because of the ceiling height. It seems to me that you need to have quite a high ceiling to get the benefit of the way they hang. I also purchased the three light drop and two of the globes were broken when unpacked plus the transformer (or whatever it was) in the ceiling fitting would not work. It therefore appeared to me that these fittings, were not a good choice for me. I don't deny they look beautiful but are quite complicated to assemble considering the delicacy of the globes and the length of time my electrician and myself spent in assembling, adjusting and fitting, it was really a bit of a nightmare . I was so disappointed but John Lewis were brilliant as at first they arranged to replace both light fittings but that was before we found the transformer in the ceiling fitting would not work. It was, I have to say the last straw, but as I say no complaints about Customer Service from John Lewis.
